Today I’m finding places for a spontaneous plant haul and am also spreading a huge load of gravel! Is it possible that I’m more excited about the gravel than the plants?!? 😜

I don’t know if I’ve ever been to a plant sale without buying a couple - er, many plants to bring home! And I seldom have more than a vague idea of where I’m going to plant them either.😊 Nevertheless, I do usually squeeze them in somewhere, though I might have to move half a dozen other plants around to do so, lol. I think that you should save some room in your new bed for a berberis, so that you can pull some of that dark burgundy over to that side of the yard. It’s all looking gorgeous Lacey!

We have a 1/4 mile gravel drive! I know exactly how you feel about new rock! Love your new plants. Your husband rides a unicycle...on a gravel drive! Superman

Yes, that Aphrodite sweet shrub will get quite large. Sweet shrubs also colonize by runners. I would up taking out my sweet shrub after fighting with it for years.

It’s tough to walk away from a plant sale empty handed 😂 My hubby pretty much expects there to be at least one plant in my car anytime I come home from somewhere lol

Hello Lacey,i found your channel from your previous video with Janey and i'm happy about that. I'm in zone 10b, but i find a lot of similar things i my garden with yours(exept of the rain of cource).i have very hard soil, paths with gravel and stones!! Also i want to tell you that i like the way you choose to put the plants!! They look beautiful all together!

Just discovered your channel, been binging your videos! What kind of camera do you use? The quality is so nice! Love seeing glimpses of your property! I am in the PNW, in Canada so it looks similar to my property. Gives me lots of great ideas 😉

I've had a fairy trail bride for 3 years and it hasn't lived up to my expectations at all. I now have moved it to my side yard where I won't see it much. Big disappointment, it blooms early and loses blooms early, and not showy. Sorry for poor review.

@@shirleybrown8094 Ooh, shoot! I suppose if it doesn’t bloom well for me, I at least like the foliage! 🤣 What zone are you in, Shirley?

Even though you went off plan with your purchases the shrubs are lovely and I love all the spots you found for them. We all do the same thing, especially during sale time. My problem is that my garden beds are always much bigger in my mind than they are in real life! 😂. I have a very small suburban yard and a 4x4 shrub sounds small but actually takes up a lot of real estate especially when I want to plant in pairs or trios. You look like you have a large property. You can always carve out more garden beds along the driveway or wooded areas.
