Jump on board as I finally find the lost mill a I’ve been searching for now for 3 years!
Victorian Heritage Database Report
Stone flour mill. One of the first water driven flour mills built in Victoria.
Site contains in situ foundations and some walls cut into hillsdie. Potential for additional features and deposits relating to the mill and activities that took place, reflecting a discrete period during the mid 19th century.
High significance as one of the first water driven flour mills in Victoria. Local significance to the development of industry in the Bundoora region.
Established in 1841 in a gorge overlooking the Plenty River. The mill ceased production in 1862.

Thanks to your video I visited the Mill site 7/6/20. I have been walking that area for years and never realized that there was a mill there. A mate and I panned for gold in the Plenty just below the site and never knew it was just above us. What a pity it will once again be covered in weeds and blackberries in a few months.

I was in Thailand when that fire went through and was watching it on the vic emergency app. I called my sister who was living in diamond creek at the time worried af but they were alright, thankfully
