@@xomacennavlogs you should deff plant more fruit trees if you add anymore trees! Not sure if cherries do well in your climate. But the more fruit trees…. If u don’t pick them then the more rotten fruit on the ground haha which kinda works as fertilizer and it doesn’t really smell but it’s not fun to walk in haha but picking fruit off my families trees is such a fun memory of mine! And sending cottage guests home with fruit from the property would be cute once they’re big enough! ✨✨ loving these vids so much!

I have a Lee Industries denim slipcovered couch, chair and ottoman I bought in 2001. I replaced the couch slipcover 3 or 4 years ago. I could have bought a new couch for what the new slipcover cost. All that to say that Lee Industries couches are great. They are made in North Carolina.

Have you checked out the “Belgian classic rolled arm sofa” from Restoration hardware? It’s a similar shape but production time is way less.

That folding rocker was the real deal! Go back and get it. The caning was true caning, not pressed sheet caning that is used in all the YT DIYs. So a person had to sit and patiently weave that pattern into it. My grandmother taught me and it is a real skill. Learning gave me a real appreciation for these types of chairs. Love that lamp and hope you find it. Love your cottage, it is going to be beautiful! 🥰

The color and print of the fabric you are obsessed with reminds me of the dishes you are starting to collect, maybe that's why you are so drawn to it. Beautiful sofa, that has always been my favourite style. I actually looked at the matching chairs when I was in the market for a new chair for my husband. I didn't get it, kicking myself now...lol

Those plates are actually super collector! They’re expensive! It’s the homestead collection or something? We have some that we inherited from Taylor’s grandparents when we bought their old house and I don’t love them but they mean a lot to him so we use them.

Incidentally, I found a perfect one that can be made into a sectional (I don't know how our family survived without sectionals in our lives), so I'm visiting my Lee Industries local dealer to get pricing this weekend. They make really cute stuff! My wallet (and my husband) are now gently weeping in the corner ... lol

The chase is spelled as chaise and you pronounce is as shahz😀 L-shapes are a pain with coffee tables, I have the same issue with mine and would love to change it but it’s a sofa bed and I live in a studio. Still, an IKEA visit might be in the near future… Might find a nice 2 seat sofa bed😀

Get an Architecture program. (Like Home Designer Architectural ) You can do it on the computer and it will look exactly like real life. It's what we did when we built our house. It saved us from making so many mistakes.

The light is beautiful! The only thing about clear glass lights is they are hard to keep clean.. they show dust very easily, but as long as you’re willing to dust it often then it will be beautiful!

The couch looks soo comfy☺️ I also wanted a chase but it wouldn't fit... Now I got a matching Pouf to my couch and when I'm not having guests (pretty much always nowadays) I just put it in fron to the couch and use it as a flexible pouf which is even better 😍☺️😃

@@sashaklippert I know but it's been adopted into english so I don't think it's fair so say the french pronunciation is "correct". She's not speaking french when she says "chaise", she's using a name that has it's origin in french. Just like other words we use (cul de sac, aficionado, champagne etc) or that french speakers use from english (weekend, brainstorming, planning, etc).

Yummy food & furniture! Sad you can’t bring fabric home but yes to paint chips & if you can floor stain. That was my biggie We have 100 yr old heart of pine so there were colors that just were a no. Happy w Q&A it gave me a more patient heart.

You probably already settled on something but you could get the regular couch and get an ottoman so that you can lay down sometimes but tuck it away sometimes when you don't need it. Just a thought. I loveee the tufted couch 😍

That couch is so perfect!!! 😭😍 With your living room plan I have one question though: why don't you consider an option where you switch around the long side of the chaise to the other side? Usually one can decide which side the extended part will go and maybe you would have more design options that way 🤔
