Sonic 06 feels like a unfinished Renaissance painting that was never completed because the artist died half way thru making it. Sonic Forces feels like Craig from accounting made a painting for the office using an AI prompt.

I think that this would work much better if both games were taken at random from a "survivors" pool, because it's kind of boring to have all of the bad Sonic games go up against Sonic 2. Edit: as @BritBox777 in the replies said, a tournament bracket style could have also worked wonders. I'm not sure which of the two would be more entertaining, but both are better than this format.

This probably would've been more interesting if it was in a bracket format like a tournament, so that you'd have more matchups between games and avoid the entire video being whether this game is better than Sonic 2 lol. The video is still good because of the conversation about each game but definitely could have had more interesting discussions.

While I love the video, I think putting Sonic 2 so early into the battle ruined the chances of having conversations about comparing other different games with each other like for example unleashed vs generations. An hour of this video is just what's better than sonic 2. Overall I did like the small deep dives and opinions shared about each games and the sonic 2 jokes.

the disservice to riders hurt the most. the game is NOT jank. it's difficult to learn, but it's absolutely not jank. I'm always in control and it's not glitchy at all really. riders is one of the best racing games of all time and is my favorite for sure. also heroes is dog ass and black knight is great, fight me 🗿✊

A few notes (if anyone cares): - the PC version of Generations DOESN'T come with an unlockable Sonic 1... but it does let you have the pre-order DLC with the Casino Night Zone pinball stage - the 8-bit Sonic games were technically developed with Game Gear specs in mind, though because the Game Gear and Master System were essentially cut from the same cloth (the Game Gear is just a portable Master System, except it can display more colors than the Master System), all Game Gear games technically started their development as (more or less) Master System games before having everything adjusted for the Game Gear and the only reason the Master System versions of those games even exist to begin with is because the console was still selling well in Europe and Brazil (all Sonic games on SMS were released only in those regions as the Master System was already a dead console in Japan and North America, even Sonic 1 despite being the last Master System game released in the US is technically just the European release with a new UPC sticker slapped on top of it) and the Master System ports were simply just byproducts of the Game Gear games during development that could've been easily put together - Carbuncle was renamed to Has Bean in Dr. Robotnik's Mean Bean Machine - the Wisps were actually given an explanation for sticking around on Sonic's world - some of them went back to their home planet but others liked Sonic's world so much they decided to stay with Sonic - at least that's what we got from Sonic Runners, the mobile game Sonic Team developed that later got discontinued - did you know that Sonic Genesis is actually a port of the 2005 i-mode/Java port of Sonic 1?

Awesome collaboration. Sam's a good personality that has chemistry with Scott's. If you're trapped in a box (or on an island) It's Sonic Generations hands down. This game is both top 3 in 2d and 3d sonic gameplay, with sonic 1 unlockable. You play it on the PS3.

Its really annoying Sonic 2 just stays on there it becomes really tiring and boring since we know Sonic 2 will win. I would've liked for them to change it up, it did feel like this was just one big nostalgia trip for Sonic 2. I don't like sonic 2 but pop off.
