I lived in Alamogordo, NM for a couple of years. Was friends with a descendant of Billy Mathews, the one who nicked Billy the kid. Also my mother was born in Roswell and yes she lived next door to the rancher whose land the UFO debris was found on. Loved NM. I always want to go back but I'm stuck on the east coast.

I legit haven't watched his channel in about 6 or 7 months as it became a channel about amusement parks. I could give two shits about watching someone ride a roller coaster. It kind of makes him look like a corporate schill. I have a feeling, however, that it will be back to amusement parks when he gets back to CA.

I live in Carlsbad but I have a friend in the U.K. she couldn't believe how hot it gets here and all the wide open empty space we have either. I couldn't imagine it any other way though I really couldn't. Alot of people get lost sometimes and end up dying before they find help or are found, that's another image to show how desolate it is out here. That happened yesterday here to a hiker and in an unrelated incident they're still trying to find another.

Loved the crop duster. Where I grew up in Ocala Florida there was a crop duster business that had an airstrip right behind us. The pilot said he used our chimney as a guide to center land his plane. Imagine the noise! It was all well and fine until he crashed into our yard one early am. Within a few yards our living room. He was a WW2 pilot and the plane was almost as old as him. My Dad extricated him out of the burning plane and the first thing he said was it must have been a bird nest in the engine. Quite a character!

I've lived in New Mexico for the past 3 years. It's a very beautiful state and I think you did a great job showing the lesser known parts. Even to New Mexico natives, few people have seen or even heard of the more eastern towns and cities like Artesia. Wish you could have shown more of Cloudcroft and Las Cruces- both of which are very unique. By the way, on your way out of Las Cruces all of those trees being planted are most likely Pecan trees. New Mexico is a leading state in producing Pecans. There's tons and tons of them everywhere. Hope you get a chance to come back and see more some time! :)

This has been my favorite day so far. I love road trips and seeing these little towns. White Sands National Monument was very cool. Don’t expect to see that in the middle of the desert.

I'm down here in Hobbs, the big one you missed right at the start of your trip! I only watched this one video of yours so far but I'm hoping you passed through Ruidoso (don't miss the casino!) Cloudcroft where things are actually pretty and amazing! And can't forget Carlsbad for both the Carlsbad Caverns National Park and Living Desert State Park!

Wow White sands national park has changed so much since the last time I was there almost 30 years ago. Too bad you didn't stop at the space museum in Alamogordo.

You were just up the highway from the Trinity Site, where the first Atomic Bomb (The Gadget) was detonated. A few minutes away from White Sands.

Oh man I grew up in that part of the world (Las Cruces is where I was born and I lived in Alamogordo for like a year, 1990) and we'd visit White Sands regularly. we used to bring stuff to slide down the dunes and spend a day in the white sand, and yeah we'd get the worst sunburns because the white sand reflects the sunlight soo much. I've been hoping you'd visit white sands one day. You need to visit Carlsbad Caverns on your next go through the Land of Enchantment.

I am from El Paso used to go every weekend to White Sands missile Range yes it is brighter there LOL like you said I think the sun reflects from the sand.

A belated welcome to New Mexico! I'm glad you got to see our painted water tanks and murals which apparently other states and cities don't do as much? On that final mural, the bird with the little plume coming from its head is a quail :) Great video

12:16 could be a flat bottom tank holding water, not counting this, because of the area it is in. So 1 Watertower today, and 31 total.

Wow! I have not seen those white sands since I was 17! I'm 52 now so that was many years ago😁. I went on a road trip with my aunt and uncle and they took us there but at that time there was no walk way we just climbed all over the sand. Thanks again for sharing!👍
