Being from the Pacific Northwest and growing up an avid trout/steelhead fisherman, I had never heard of white/sand bass or hybrids until I moved to my mother's native state of Oklahoma in the mid 1990's, specifically Sallisaw. I was introduced to the "Sand Bass" and have been "hooked" ever since. They are just to much fun. In my opinion anyone who would snub their noses to the White bass fishery, is not a very dedicated all-around fisherman. Thanks for the video and for sharing your thoughts and experience with us.
I'm from south Louisiana and most call them trash fish....I call them crazy!! I target White Bass in the fall and spring. They are good fighters on light tackle and good deep fried. Nice video guys I may try some of your techniques down south.
I know your on the north end on Grand. I am looking to fish the Neosho below Pensacola dam down to Hudson Lake. Where would you recommend starting looking for sandbass?
