I prefer the Asian restaurant where you get things done quickly, no fking around. Service is fast, food tastes great, cost is cheap. Fine-dining annoys me. So slow and careful. Waiter asking how everything is every 5 minutes. I can't stand the pretentious atmosphere in fine-dining. Worse in the U.S 'cos they expect a bigger tip every time they ask "How is everything?"

And it is offensive because obviously the person saying it know you're chinese, but instead calls you "China man". Unless the person is chinese and can't speak english well, then that's fine. But if someone is fluent, and they call me "China Man", I'm getting mad. You've got to be a real pussy if you let yourself be called "China Man" by other races. Jihee Yun I know ur bullshitting cuz Japanese restaurants respect their guests and they are very polite, they care about presentation and service and if there's any complain or some lacking, they will apologize deeply. have you ever been to a Japanese restaurant..? or are you just saying that?
we need to stop eating out at restaurants. this kind of food is genetically modified and its having destructive consequences on the environment. please research these issues more and try to minimize your consumption habits as much as you can cuz if our consumption habits are having destructive consequences on the environment then we're going to have to answer to God for this cuz when you engage in habits that harm the environment you in an indirect way harm your fellow humans who depend on the environment for nourishment

True! Most Chinese employees get payed badly. But for the person above me who I can't tagg: who in this comment section compared China to Japan? No one we all know China is different from Japan. Please try to read correctly. I'm alot in Japan and I think they give the best service.. I always feel like a real customer and they really put effort in what they do. Chinese restaurants basically the food is good and the service Is good when you give tip. In Japan you don't give tip, it is rude. So it is a different mentality. But you should know these things if you go to a Chinese restaurant.. So i'm used to it and I cant even blame them anymore cuz the food is good.

The Chinese restaurant scenes were so accurate when I went to a Chinese restaurant there was this worker that had a tank top on and was drinking milk in the dining area Edit. It was a gallon of milk taking swigs of it

The first time I went to a Korean restaurant was in Seoul...with two Korean girls....I understand enough Korean to know that when the waiter came, all three immediately agreed that the blonde European (guess who) wouldn't be able to take one bite of their normal dishes so they made it milder than usually 😅 they were probably right though....it was still spicier than I'm used to lol
Vietnamese restaurants should've been in here. Imagining so many funny ideas. Maybe including pho. Also ever went to an Asian restaurant, but it's another culture? Funny story - I have been going to this local pho restaurant for 3 years and the lady keeps speaking Vietnamese to me. Since I don't know what she says, all I do is nod and point at the menu or just point AND say the number. My friend had to explain to her that I'm not Vietnamese, I'm Japanese and Cambodian. Then she looked at me and said sorry in English. 😂 Now when I go there, she calls me Sushi boy. I love her so much she's awesome.

Somehow older vietnamese ladies always do this, the most awkward situation was when my and my friend visited our classmate, she had take the restroom, while that happened her mother come up to us and strted about asking our education/interest etc, i being also vietnamese managed well, but my hungarian friend just stared at my with puppy eyes the whole time, later i ended up translating the whole conversation for 20 mins
I went to a fancy Korean restaurant, (not Panda Express, that's stupid and biased,) they barbecued a little food for us. When we barbecued, they would come and immediately replace the dirty barbecue when we were done!

lol, this is actually more true outside of China. I eat Chinese food in China for 6 years and never get sick. I go to Boston to eat this "Hong Kong" restaurant and I suffer food poisoning.

Japanese was so on point. There's an authentic sushi joint in my place (waiters speak Japanese) every time you walk in they all say that saying (don't know what it means lol)
I say it really depends on where. It's not always. Asian restaurants are just like any other business trying to make money, so they would put their service.
My experiences of each Asian restaurants Chinese - the waiters are extremely rude unless you know Mandarin or Cantonese, then they will treat you like their friend, the sticky menus are so true, the Chinese kids doing their homework there is also spot on, it can be pretty loud and rowdy there Japanese - the waiters are kind and respectful. Nothing much to say about them. Chonny's video pretty much explains it very well. I guess it's just Japanese culture. Korean - some Korean restaurants are very stingy and demand tips. Especially when I go to a Korean Tofu Soup place and I guess I forgot to give a tip so they literally ran out to my car and banged on my window, demanding a tip. Also, if you don't speak Korean, they instantly single you out as "foreign". Koreans are too prideful and some Koreans I met, especially since I played on Korean League of Legends servers, are too prideful and think they are superior than other Asians, especially to Vietnamese people like me. I was at a Korean restaurant with my Korean friend and he told me that they called me "Look at that dirty Vietcong communist right there". However, not all Koreans are like this and my favorite Korean BBQ places are actually really nice. I just wish that Koreans respect other people's cultures and it sucks to see that many Vietnamese people are heavily influenced by Koreans despite some Koreans don't even like us. Vietnamese - this wasn't in the video but since I am Viet, I can say this for myself. Depending on the location, it is usually quiet such as a Pho restaurant but at a Vietnamese restaurant at night, it can be really loud with dads drinking Heineken. If you speak Viet, it doesn't really matter, they just want your money whether you speak it or not xD
I'm Korean too. I feel bad that you had such rude treatments here and there by Koreans. By the way, it's kinda leisure(? I'm not sure if this is the right word for it) for Korean males to bust their national pride and looking down on others. It's called "Heo-sae(허세)". Koreans do that to each other as well. It's kind of tactic to psychologically dominate the opponent. Don't pay too much attention to it cuz they don't really mean it. It just shows how most Koreans are actually weak and timid inside, actually many Koreans these days devalue their nation.
OMG I appologize... few or more than few korean only care about money and too competitve as people know. And especially League of Legend Korean server is almost group of trash . They are usually nice but when they start playing it they just turn into some kind of devil I don't know why..
I can't say for Koreans in the U.S., but Koreans in SK are crazy racist. Although I like and appreciate their culture, I pity crazy kpop fans that follow their favorite kpop band like zombies. Not really knowing that Koreans couldn't care less about anyone outside their country or race.

Yo one time my friends and I went to this Korean restaurant and my friend asked the waiter if one of the dishes was spicy, and he said "not really" and when the dish arrived, it was so spicy that she had to drink water after every bite. But tbh I enjoyed my food a lot, and the service there was so friendly and Nice!! Plus, there was kpop playing on tvs all around us so I ain't complaining
Lol I was eating k fried chicken and it wasn’t spicy 🌶 but I gave it to my friend and for her it was sooooooooo spicy after like 2 hours it was still spicy for her 😂 she drank all the water she had bc of it so I had to give her my water too 😂😂
