Fine Marvel DE Razor | A&E "Kaizen" Shaving Soap (New) 

Kaizen means "improve" (not necessarily constantly, if you want to say constantly it's "Tsuneni kaizen"). You need to pronounce it kaiZEN as in zen like experience, not kaiZAN as that means "faking" or "alteration". From a Japanese viewer. Keep up the good shaves!

Really enjoyed the shave Paul, as well as Mrs.’s H’s arrangement! I got this razor about a month ago and felt exactly the same way you do, except on my second shave, I didn’t respect it enough and ended up with quite a few nicks! Very deceiving razor as to its aggressiveness. Dry well made and quite solid feel. Stay safe Paul and hopefully you will film your BBQ today!

Happy Sunday Paul! Thank you Mrs H. for the roses and lavender, fantastic!! I like the looks of that red tip knot in the brush. Perhaps that red tip brush with the red bowl and Gillette Red-tip super speed loaded with a Personna red blade...just an all round red shave (thinking out loud, imagining only). SOTD: Muhle R95 Rocca v3 loaded with an Astra SP blade (4th use). LEA mentholated shaving cream lathered with a That Darn Rob 26 mm Fanchurian gel-tip badger. 3 passes plus pick-ups. Finished with Thayer's Coconut water skin toner and PAA CaD aftershave. Superb BBS results and 18 hours later is still smooth. Mother's Day here. We are in a modified lock-down; just a slight easing of restrictions. No large gatherings or personal services. Face masks are highly encouraged, and even required, in most places still. Good luck with those Japanese pronunciations...it is very pitch accent specific...I usual fail in my attempts (I was assigned to a Japanese ship for a month; loved the food and beer...butchered their language daily). I find Mandarin more difficult with the tonal requirements...OMG. My yard is like a bird nursery. I have several Robin parents with their fledglings...maybe a total of 12 individuals roosting. Your mastery of the razor show with your perfect shave results. I like Fine soaps, Angel Hair brushes, and some of the aftershaves...good products. I am glad you are all healthy. Take care.

SOTD: vintage german "Rotbart Mond Extra" razor,KAI blade (1st use),unbranded vintage boar brush,Balea men shaving oil,vintage Irisch Moos shaving soap,bebe mild micelle water and finally the very good US-made "Skin Bracer" aftershave by Mennen.

Awesome shave. Kaizen is I think sold out now. Fast. Too bad though, since I am budget clearance before buying more soaps to ship over. Ah well. I'll search around, probably will find a store selling it and the aftershave.

Hello, Sir, how are you, I purchased this razor and Edwin Jagger 316 and spend around 16000/- rupees, i.e around 160 pounds, but I never got a comfortable shave with this razor as the angle of shaving is different and I have to be very very careful due to the huge blade exposure.

I do my laundry today and get a shower & shave tonight. They start changing things here tomorrow to the yellow phase but no one knows what that means. I will be going grocery shopping tomorrow.

Good shave Paul!!! Yes, Kaizen does have a matching aftershave to pair up with it. Mine is on the way, along with the soap. And yes, I've already started the smoker, as I'm smoking a beef brisket for the family, and it takes a long time to slow smoke one, especially if you are using real wood. I'm pairing it with the normal BBQ sides, like baked beans, greens, corn on the cob, and bacon wrapped jalapeno poppers. Enjoy the rest of your day!!!!

Finally got initiated into the wet shavers club. My first shave was of a Dorco razor with a Personna blade that gave me a smooth blood-free shave. I must deal with growing pains of a newcomer, but I’ll get better as my wet shaving journey goes on

I gave my Marvel away to a raffle! I was fed up with the bar sometimes catching, causing the razor to jump and next thing, that sound of blade hitting the skin, with inevitable consequences! Like you, I found the razor more aggressive 2nd and 3rd passes.
