Such bs to be honest. It's a minor nation tech tree with 4 planes at rank 7 (one being added recently with the Finnish sub trees) and they want you to have all 4 of those unlocked and bought so you can grind rank 8. Or just buy the premium draken.
because they’re CW guided. Same reason it’ll do it in non PD as well. The missile can sometimes distinguish between chaff and continue to the target if it’s CW guided.
about chaff locks its cause the enemy making gapclose between chaff and itself so if he is at a longer distance or the enemy going away from you the pulse doppler cant separate plane from chaff but no matter if if skyflash track the moving target instead of chaff

I never bought into the sky flash hate since I switched from playing Sweden to America ever since they added the F4J, but I started grinding the Swedes again and good lord the Skyflashes will just never hit a competent pilot anymore and sometimes even bad pilots will dodge it anyway
The British Phantoms are a lot better when it comes to the skyflashes due to their radar being superior to the swedish viggen's radar, for some odd reason the PD on the viggens lock to chaff which never happens with any other PD, when it comes to SARH missiles it's not just about the missile but rather the radar on the aircraft a good example of this is the F4E in the American tree, which has aim7-E2s which is almost the same as skyflashes but it has terrible radar so you can't get kills alot, Also it depends how u use it, the skyflash is meant to be a short - mid range, realistically all your kills should be in headons or semi headons and fired at 2-5km and generally you get ur kills from that,
The draken and Viggen is considered as ahead of it's time. Draken first flight was 1955 and the Viggen was 1967 both prasied as ahead of its time but in this game.... Well Russia don't like to be bad so they make these planes carry around 60% of its total load and put some shit as* missles... I mean come on
At top tier Viggen is behind in terms of flight performance but it has good nose athority unlike f16, lots of cm and aim9l of course. I dont think its a jack of all trades anymore as its flight perfomance in top tier is kinda lacking.
Thoughts on the Mirage 2000? I nearly have it and want to know if I should GE the modules or just go to another tech tree (I like the Mirage 3E a lot).
Air battles seem so fundamentally different on low and high br. I recently grinded swedish 4.3 air realistic to get to the sk60b and damnnnnnnn I never wanna ARB on that br again. Definitely something that makes me wish this game wasn't f2p so I could actually complain about the shitty game design and not think "well they want people to be frustrated to sell stuff".
Personally i’d skip the C. And the D isn’t really worth the grind considering you need the entire finnish sun tree. But as a swedish player you don’t have much a choice
A very good plane in real life and it was kept up nicely with the "MODs" or Edits with various updates.. RB 99 being the main D edit though.. (AMRAAMs..)
It is only worth grinding the tree for the viggen or maybe the gripen in the future. All the other planes are mid and hard to play, plus Swedish vehicle are too expensive to repair for what they are (I'm looking at the J32/A32 and the the j/a29 series). So if you maybe get a premium like I did to skip the pain and play it until you get to like rank 7 be my guest
I love my Viggers))) That said I'd rather fly my 37C then grind 410k rp and then ANOTHER 400k for mods just to make the plane viable. Spading the 37C was bad enough. Still love the Viggen though.

Seek. You should check out the strike viggen. 1. You clown on a10s 2. It's 10.3 with only 500kgf less thrust than the 11.0 viggen 3. Now you can take 1 flare pod, and 1 gun 4. The viggen coltist will creme their pants and stop whining
The AJ viggen is a lot of fun, I've been playing it recently and have been enjoying it way more than I thought I would. It's quite goofy in a 9.3 game. Not as good as the SMT or MF of course, but still a very good airframe at 10.3 and the gun is surprisingly easy to aim.
Lol like how 9Ls are the best IR missiles with the good long-distance abilities meanwhile the R60s be hurting hard in every way but dog fighting.... also, now the 27T is not working as it used to so it's basically a long range and faster 9L but similar missile propulsion time and worse tracking, u can still flare it rather easily and ECCM does not work on it at all...
Annoying that this is actually a JA37 C and the 37 C in game is actually either a B or a fictional variant as the only difference that's supposed to exist between the C and D is the D's ability to carry 120's. Yes the countermeasure pods behind the gear were installed on D's and not C's but the pylons were always there and the C does have countermeasure integration so if there was ever a requirement it did have the ability to mount them.
No this is still the D, they just didn't give it the AIM-120s yet. I think it will be one of the first jets to get the AMRAAM, it's already technically there in the files for Sweden as well.
@@GeneralLee2000 Yes but like I said as it doesn't have AMRAAM yet and the only difference between C and D is the D has avionics upgrades to be able to carry said amraam. The 'D' we have in game is closer to the real C than the 'C' we have in game which is pretty much a fictional variant in it's current form.
@@gregc9344 This has the avionics upgrades... so you don't think it's a "real" D then until it gets AMRAAM? Also have you submitted a bug report for the extra flares on the C model?
@@GeneralLee2000 What Greg tries to say is, that the JA37C should have the Aim 9Ls and Countermeasures the JA37D. So the D version we have rn is basically the real C version. The D version was basically only made to be able to use AMRAAMs which it doesn't have rn. Also the lack of more countermeasures and Aim 9Ls in the in-game C was already reported, however it was rejected due to BaLaNcE
@@adrfarling5503 Yes, they want to have vehicles at various BR steps... Just like how the F-4E, which carried AIM-9M, still has AIM-9J, since they want it to stay around 11.0. That doesn't make it not the F-4E anymore...
Top tier air Sim is a lot more fun that RB. Even with the monstrous repair costs and lacklustre rewards Sim is still a much better alternative to RB. Only play ARB to get squadron points to max now.

Still glad I stopped playing top tier air RB. Now I just mainly play top tier air sim and GRB / GSB. No hotas no trackir just me wits n mouse m keyboard

The GE app is a scam, please do not promote it EDIT: looked it up online, people have had mixed results. some of the tasks are annoying and designed to milk you, others aren't. So i guess it isn't really a scam, my apologies.
