After really messing up the last three tanks I built, this idea was a real lifesaver on my latest build. I did use Ammo red cement to help me identify where I needed reinforcement when I flipped them over. Thanks for the help.

This is fantastic! I've spent two months away from model building because I couldn't bring myself to deal with a set of Takom T-55 tracks. In about two hours, this technique pushed me through and restored my mojo. Thanks for this great hack.

Really like this Idea. You can keep adding on square tubes to accommodate different sizes.

Pretty slick method. I am usually to lazy to make a proper jig, just align it with a straightedge. And i do it is shorter sections.

Two problems: 1. How do you paint finished tracks with wth worn and weathered metail areas? 2. How do you fit the completed tracks to your finished model?

Is there any reason not to use double stick tape instead of gluing them down? I guese if you make a lot of the same model tank it makes sense, but with DS tape, you can reuse the pieces of the jig.

You don't want them to shift. There's a chance with anything less stable that you might hook or somehow move the parts of the jig and that could affect alignment.

You could glue the outside rail down and use double-sided tape to hold down a steel-odged ruler for the other guide. That would allow you to adapt it to other track widths in kits.

I almost would rather have a rubber band track.

Ove-piece tracks don t look as detailed and can be a problem.mountaing them properly on your vehicle.
