Thank you so much for your simple, straightforward style of explaining this to me. I strum like a champ, but fingerpicking is a challenge. Unlikely I will ever get the hang of singing while playing, but that's a challenge for another day.

I am 78 and never played anything. I tried several times along the way, but got nowhere. For all those years, I just couldn't make the connection between picking and strumming. Tonight, something clicked, I've changed the way I think about it.
