I’m honestly sad that it’s all over. Ari puts the final touches on a great race. So many stories, starting with Kevin’s rescue, more skippers who prevailed to finish and bringing non sailing folks (me) to a place to appreciate the nature of this sport. Thank you Vendee, thank you Andi!, who clearly explained the strategic aspect of the race with aplomb,and thanks to Ari, Pip and Boris for flavoring my morning coffee. FAIR WINDS!!!
C'est un très beau dernier... Mais il y a t-il des derniers dans une épreuve pareille ? Voilà 117 jours que je suis parti avec eux tous, ce feuilleton hors norme ou série m'a captivé, je voulais aussi attendre l'arrivée de Ari. Bon atterrissage à ce finlandais volant des airs et des mers. Merci encore à tous, skippers et équipe d'organisation, c'était mon premier VG et je crois bien que regarderai la prochaine édition avec le même enthousiasme.

It’s been such a pleasure to follow you, Ari, and indeed the entire flotilla of the Vendée Globe this winter. Your collective efforts have been amazing to behold. What a great escape from the reality of lock-down. It’s now nearly spring here in Ontario, and time to start thinking of getting boats out of their winter shrouds, but many of us will remember our time with all of you, particularly this Super Happy Sailor!
Amazing character and truly an inspirational and humble human being. I loved Boris and Pip but the super happy Ari helped kept me buoyant. I Would love a T shirt with Super and Happy above below his face. I stumbled on the Vendee during locked down and all the sailors, Andy and the production team played a vital part in my stress relief. Thanks a million nautical miles.
Great job Ari.....I hope that you can sit back now in the cockpit of your 350, enjoy the rest and look down with quiet satisfaction at all the places you have sailed....it’s been a pleasure following your story 👍⛵️⛵️

Ari la force tranquille il a vécu son rêve avec béatitude il était coincé pour pouvoir ramener son bateau!!! Un sage d’une grande intelligence et d’une grande modestie,il regrette de ne pas savoir le français ce qui ajoute à sa grandeur merci à lui c’est un bel exemple de sagesse et raison 😊😎
