So today we've finally completed the Fake Chinese Clone Lego Ferrari Daytona SP3 It's been eventful, a few major issues along the way, so join me as we take a look at what we've ended up with from this cheap Lego alternative.
I have this kit. Some parts have different feel and tightness compared to lego but at 1/5 the cost I really have nothing to complain. It was a fun build and it stays on my shelf nowadays.
Bought this one, bmw 1000rr and mclaren f1. Everything went great. Of course the smoothness in connecting pieces not the same as in original, but colors are precise, and the quality of plastic is great. I think it is great for its cost
I have an original Ferrari Daytona sp3 on mine the boot won’t stay up alone and a door was a bit loose the first time I built it and btw that rear part on your car move it back one fits perfect
is it because of the hinge or just because of the cons buying the 3rd party? i wish to have the original lego but if its the same feels, i'd rather go for the 3rd party 🫠
I have the Clone SP3 and everything works great. No wobbly backend, BOTH doors stay up, etc. The issues you are having looks like a user assembly issue rather than the quality of the bricks. What I would like to see is you doing a side by side comparison between the clone sp3 and the real lego version both built by yourself. Maybe you'll do better the 2nd time around 😁😁
Loved the video. I did the Titanic and the Bugatti and waiting on the Ferrari. All Chinese versions. And ran into all the same problems you did. But for the price point and just going to display them ( and not 'play' with them), I'm quite pleased. Keep up the great videos, my friend.
Great review! I also bought a clone of this set from Aliexpess, and i am more than happy with it, I bought a yellow version rather than red which I think looks far better (in my opinion). I didnt have any real issues with the build, like you did with yours, but maybe there are multiple fifferent companies cloning the set!?. I'm sure I paid less than £100, so over 3 times cheaper than the genuine version. I'm passed caring about people moaning that these are clones of genuine Lego sets, Lego shouldn't be so bloody greedy, even with designing costs and paying licensing fees they are still charging far too much. I will also be buying the clone McLaren P1, hopegully you review this too!
The doors not staying up happens with the official Lego as well, The rear part i think is something you have messed up the black beam in the box and the 2 curved parts they WOULDN'T be spares! you definitely have gone off somewhere.
Same i got a fake lego technic McLaren senna gtr with a Chinese online shop app. my McLaren look bit different With the real one and the door was same one side stood up and one side stood up and automatically fall back down
I have the LEGO Ford GT 42154 and it has many of the same problems as the fake lego Ferrari. It's $140. I knowing that I can have two of the same 1:8 supercar vs this small scale GT is crazy to me, I think it's worth the price.
Anyone know where to get the instructions for this or if they are the same as the lego version? I bought what I thought was the lego version from an auction site(sight unseen) and someone had opened it and removed the lego version and put in this version.
@@BrickBasherUK your absolutely right there are a few errors,I don’t know if my models book was printed a while ago or not but in mine there’s a piece wrong ( step 89 ) I believe that throws all the gears out of sequence, and I’d messed up the rear diff that’s why I had to take my entire car apart and rebuild it,also in your video the rear spoiler part where the boot overlaps and it’s not fitting quite right, move the “spoiler” part back, into the other two holes nearest the edge of the boot it will fit perfectly then 👍
@@BrickBasherUKit’s a thing with my Lamborghini Like I built everything correctly, but still it suddenly stopped working. It is a display model, not a toy
Thx for the video, i will buy it too this week, the problem you coment that the wheels has resistance happened me too with the bugatti chiron, i think the pieces doesnt match "perfect" as they do in the original. The pieces you had left im really sure is because you missed a few steps so you get that big pieces (inst common) only have to be left the little pieces (blue, black and grey)
I just did this one and i have the same issues with fitment of pieces, but that is to be expected with knockoff products. I was also missing some pieces but i ordered those online and will be here soon. Some complain the rear engine cover does not stay up but mine does fine, my doors also stay up fine. They dont want to latch down all the way when i have it mounted on my wall. I added a piece to keep the flush with the body but other than that its perfect I have already done the Porsche GT3 and the Bugatti a few years ago, they were the same way. I also ordered the Lamborghini, just waiting on that one. The next one will be the Mclaren P1 that just came out today. I also did the Porsche RSR race car, the pieces on that one were almost as good as Lego, only a slight step down on some. Most fit perfect. I plan to get the Mclaren and Mercedes F1 cars, hopefully they are like the Porsche RSR.
This is a bootleg, which means everything is copied from Lego, including the instructions. The irony here is that Lego ITSELF made mistakes when they shipped this kit out. So if you paid the $450 and bought a real set, and built it according to the fancy shiny thick book of instructions that came with it, it would have the same gearbox issues where it gets stuck and stuff. You'd have to go online and get the corrected instructions to build the gearbox correctly.
Please sell it and tell me about the income. Didn't get it! Like the guys in the 90's that bought parts for their MR2 that it looks like a little Ferrari?
I bought it from Ali Express but the shop I got it from doesn't sell it any more , I can dig out a link for another shop I've just bought the lighthouse from and they're service was very fast. Less than 5 days I waited
