So here, words like “bath” sound like “baath” and “half” sound like “haalf”. You get the idea. Kolossal, who does not have this accentual characteristic, mistakes the same principle to the “ack” set of words, hence why he says “black” as “blaack” when in reality, the vowel sound to black or crack is constant and belonging to the same family as words like “cat”. Still, even if the linguistic split were to occur in this set of words, it’s unlikely they’d be heard in the rhotic Bristol/Cornwall type accent that many pirates had. Why? Hydracoque has a pretty awesome take on black metal vocals. I wanna challenge him there one day as i usually do black metal vocals myself. I expect a Gay version of Bathory's "Call from the grave" (Call from the Gays) or Mayhem's "Chainsaw Gutsfuck". Yes, but he stole the show! As with the He Make it Clap and 15K. He does remarkably well on beats contrasting his usual style. Xayne’s flow and delivery was fantastic, although I wish he sprinkled some pirate lyricism in the mix.
