Phillip Schofeild the great divine his overwhelming nationalism and want to see the best for the British Empire even during the Depression has that old keep the stiff upper lip mentality which was always very British to me. Not to mention his ability to literally weaponize words to encourage the masses to fight even in the grimmest of circumstances. And as we all know no one has a better command of the English language than the British, stereotypically speaking of course.

"I might be battling you even though I'm toasted, but tomorrow I'll be sober and you'll still be roasted" is a reference to something absolutely incredible: a female MP criticised Churchill for being drunk and he responded something along the lines of "And you are ugly. This has got to be the best ERB in the channel's history, for several reasons. 1. There was no clear winner here. Both Churchill and Roosevelt were incredible and delivered some of the hardest lines in the series. 2. It's the classic "Murica vs Britain" using the most badass leaders from each side's respective histories. 3. The background music slaps hard. 4. It's actually epic and is actually about history.

For anyone who doesn’t know the famous story that Roosevelt rebukes with, he was campaigning for president when a man approached him and shot him once right in the chest. The bullet didn’t puncture his chest muscle thanks to his FIFTY PAGE speech and an eyeglass case in his chest pocket. Roosevelt ignored the advice to go to the hospital and went on to speak for over an hour and a half. His opening comments establish him in my mind as the most badass US prez: "Ladies and gentlemen, I don't know whether you fully understand that I have just been shot, but it takes more than that to kill a Bull Moose."

Still to this day one of the best and most evenly matched ERBs. Both had phenomenal bars and although I’d say Roosevelt had the edge, Churchill put up one hell of a fight.

1. The beat slaps 2. Love the guy who shoots Roosevelt at the end and sees him unaffected and is just like "understandable, have a nice day" and heads out.

Tha's what happens when you shoot at a the center mass of a guy carrying a steel eyeglass case and a 90-minute speech in at least three layers of high-quality clothing. John Schrank did the smart thing and said #ScrewThisImOutOfHere

2 people who death feared. Winston Churchill last words were, "I am bored of it all." Death had to come get Teddy Roosevelt while he slept, otherwise there would have been a fistfight for the ages.

I agree. I'm had to watch it 5 times in a row and then try to keep points. I had to go with which one gave me the most laughs in the end. Teddy just squeaked it out for me. However, I think my favorite line goes to Churchill comma with the asthmatic and choking on cigar line

A double entendre in the first word: “Bully!” was one of Roosevelt’s favorite expressions for excitement, specifically credited to him for how boisterous he would yell it. At the same time, The British *Bulldog* is the nickname for Churchill, hence the pet name of bully.
