I seriously thought you bought a light blue bath tub! Haha until I realized it was just a protected seal! Ha

haha!!!!!!!!!!! It definitely looks blue in the pictures which is why I specified it has the seal on it haha! We are leaving the seal on until we are done with the bathroom to keep the grout off the tub when we do the tile work:)

Lol, the whole time I thought the tub was blue. I was gonna say that was the same color I’ve got in the bathroom of my old house now. Forgot about the protective film. Aside from my “duh” moment, what type of screws did you use when leveling the tub. I’ve never installed a tub, so I didn’t know that’s how you leveled it.

I was afraid people would think it was blue! But we wanted to keep the protective film on it for when we do the tile in the shower:) Grout on a bathtub can be a nasty clean up (unfortunately learned that from experience haha). Anyway, the screws used for the tub were the same ones we put the concrete board up with. Without finding the package, I honestly cannot remember what they are called... But leveling a bathtub is surprisingly easy task! :)

@@CollinsCountry ok, didn’t know if it was a special screw or just a drywall screw. Thanks for letting me know, because I definitely would have used the wrong ones…lol

Well done!! Did your house already have the rough-in, or did you put it in?? I'm really hoping to put a basement bathroom in my house, but the lack of a rough-in is of course a bit of an obstacle, so I'm trying to learn as much about putting it in myself as I can. Thanks for sharing!! 👍👍👍

Hi! Thanks for watching. We added the roughin when we built the house. We have RU-vid videos of that as well. You will be cutting some concrete to add rough plumbing in a house that does not already have plumbing available. Good luck and I think you can do it!!!

The water will drain and the gases will come up the drain opening. P trap?

Yup! The bath tubs we have used in our previous remodeling projects throughout the years have been easier. This one from Menards was odd but we made it work:) We thought about not using a tub at all and just 100% tiling a walk in shower in the basement but it's not practical for our family with kids, especially when the little cousins come over.... So the annoying bathtub was installed ha

Thanks for the tip. We have always installed the tubs by screwing into the tub without any issues but we are always open to advice and tips from other people! We will look into this for the next tub install.
