PDC should be thankful for Littler playing the style of darts he plays. He brings a cheeky, young element to the game that’s refreshing to see. It will help advertise darts better.
Definitely, it’s great mind games as well. He has got a very wise old head on young shoulders. The only player he doesn’t seem to have psyched out yet is Smith, probably because he is a similar type of care free player.
Your right, but it works both ways. If the investment, and the promotion wasn't there, and the platform wasn't attractive, would kids be playing darts at all?
In these days of a "dog eat dog" society, it is so refreshing to see 2 guys who are the epitome of true champions!!!! Michael Smith cried after beating his best mate. There was no bluster and carry-on. Just a "I'm sorry mate". And then the Cool Hand Luke hugs and continually congratulates Smith..... after he loses to him!!! These young blokes are a far cry from when The Power was getting angry and whinging, Anderson being a sook and whining and Aidy Lewis threatening to bash opponents on stage. This current group of elite Darts sportsmen are a credit to the Game and to their culture. Good on 'em, is what I say!!!!
Fell asleep during the final though. Premier League need to up the money for winning nights because there's no bite once the top 4 placings are decided. At least when they didn't like each other you knew there would be some tension. Great that they get on but there needs to be tension and pressure to keep fans interested.
You're soft as hell. Sports were better when there was motivation to beat someone, celebration and all that. Now, if they say "woo hoo", they're "toxic" and if they don't blow each other after the game, they're inconsiderate.
@@noelmadden1920 yea premiere league does go on a bit huh. Not really sure how they can improve it either. Love tournaments like Uk open where qualifiers can come from left field
@@anthonymatute6057 He lost to another bottle job? Do you mean Michael Smith who won the night and is a world champion? Fair to say Nathan’s done pretty well in the game too. Idiot.
It's nice to see Smith starting to get the rewards again! Because he's took some stick over the last few months with switching darts but u can definitely see he's starting to play well again.
Smith is the most natural thrower of a dart I’ve ever seen and the most fair play no nonsense guy off the lot in my opinion he’s up there with Phil and MVG
Last time we'll ever see Snakebite in the Premier League. Managed to win just 2 of his 18 matches with a negative 43 legs score. You'd hope that they will have 8 truly competitive players next year.
Everyone and their mothers knew Dobey was the pick for this year but pdc pick snakebite because 2 nights in scotland. shame really he contributed nothing to the league
@@TerrySherrington Okay DH. Since when can't people make observations about people who are much better at their chosen sports? That would virtually leave the comments section blank. So no, I'll make comments when I feel like it and it has nothing to do with behaviour. Snakebite has embarrassed himself in the Premier League and virtually any other competition he has played recently. Being nothing more than a speed bump is hardly flattering for him. I see you've given yourself a meaningless like on your dumb comment. Take a month off DH.
The game of darts just gets better n better. The quality of player and their attitudes has vastly improved, which can only be good for sport in general. People want good entertainment, here it is👌👏👍
Probably Peter Wright's last appearance in the Premier League. His slide has been going long enough that it's getting harder to see him returning to his peak. Some brilliant checkouts tonight.
Now that we know our Final Four, I have to say, there's a good chance Smith might win it all from the 4th seed. He's had Littler's number all season long, so there's a good chance of an upset and I think Smith vs MVG or Smith vs Humphries can go either way since on a good day, they're really good at ton+ checkouts.
What a RIDICULOUSLY SNOWFLAKEY comment to make! 🤷♂️🤦♂️ It'd be disrespectful at 5-0 up, not 2-2! He attempted what he thought he could make, and he did! It's called entertainment for a reason...... if ya got IT, flaunt IT...and The Nuke has IT in bucketloads!
Why disrespectful? It's literally a bigger bed than the treble. People used to say Ronnie O'Sullivan was disrespectful for playing left handed but now it's the norm and seen as fine to do. Any player can throw any dart into any bed they want.
Their positions in the league were sealed, so he had a bit of fun. Wright was more 'disrespectful' the other week when he finished 110 by going 60, bull.
@@beantaz3862You know what time it is I see! He's known to knock them back abit, or so I've heard. There are lots of fans that think the sport is squeaky clean and dry (no drinking going on backstage), especially ones who've only took up watching darts since Littler came on the scene.
@@BlueHopi144 idk with the order of merit being over two years i still think smith could be ahead of him unless littler starts winning some majors. remember the premier league winnings doesn’t count towards any ranking money
I appreciate he lost but littler even had MS changing the way he would normally play against him! He plays some proper mind games. Meanwhile, MVG has just managed to get out of Luke’s pocket about 10 min ago!
