As a solo game developer, your story has been super inspiring and has kept me going through even when I wanted to quit after losing motivation. Thank you man :) and Congratulations!!! Can't wait to play it :D Edit : MOMMMM IM FAMOUSSS
Same here. One of the first people who got me into hobby game dev in the first place a few years back. Really looking forward to this finally coming out.
We are on the same boat :), at some point you literally start treating you game like your baby and become obsessed with it, sometimes angry and definitely on top of the world when things work out, the fruit at the end due to my hard work is my driving force 💪
One way i try to keep myself inspired for my own game is that theres going to be someone out there that probably would really love to play your game or see your idea come to life.
@@GoodgisI can’t wait until I get to play the game I’ve been following for 4 years, it hasn’t felt that long. I really love your content and I hope you do amazing in the future.
i have a lot of faith in your ability to finish this game and make something truly great and im glad to have backed this project. we believe in you goodgis!
This is insane. Good job, so many devs (including myself) don’t have the motivation to finish a game lol and you’re managing to finish your dream game!! I will buy your game the second it comes out.
I can't wait play the game! The devlogs have been super inspiring, and I just love the art style so much, take your time Goodgis, I know you can make this into an amazingly cute game!
Congratulations on the release of your game! I hope to get to that point eventually. I'm still working on what kind of story my game is going to have. Because, once I get a story, my game will have better direction!
Listen Goodgis! If I remember correctly you added difficulty settings which were represented by flowers of different colorurs. Please change the heart-meter-flower in a way that it changes it's colour in regards to the difficulty settings the player picked. It is always nice when games visually represent the difficulty mode you picked and that would be the perfect way to do it. Please consider it ♡
I know this might get buried in all the comments but I really can’t wait for the game’s release! I was terrified to start game dev for so long and seeing your videos finally gave me the push to try! Been supporting since the before the kickstarter (and backed it!) Thank you so much for inspiring other devs! ❤
This feels... different than other devlogs. Not just for you, but for many, many other channels out there: it feels like you are GENERALLY trying to FINISH this game lol. And as a result your work here looks friggin prolific. So awesome to see. Truly wishing you the best as you close in on this project!
All the best for the rest of your development. I hope there’s lots of wonderful and creative moments where things start slotting together. Videos like this are so inspiring for people like me who are in the early stages of their game making process. So many thanks!
This looks great. The quality of your video and game are both awesome. It’s such a feeling moment when you’re anticipating releasing your first project lol
Ahh I'm so excited. The more games I play the more the grander, larger, and most anticipated ones exhaust me. I can't wait to enjoy a smaller but I'd reckon, more passionately made game when you release it!! Best of luck
i have been wanting to get into game dev for years but i had no idea how to get into it and once i found your channel i found two things. one, dewdrop looks awesome and im really excited to play it, and two, game dev is a lot easier to get into then i thought. i was completely lost on how to get into it but then i found your videos and learned, not how easy it is because it is not, but i learned that anyone can do it which helped me get started on my own game. but what im trying to say is, im so happy for you.
Love your videos! The game looks awesome and I hope the best for your game financially! I just started my own channel and made my first video and I aspire to do what you have done. Thanks for helping pave the path my dude!
Wow, I've been waiting for this game for a while, and it's good to see that it's coming soon! Also, a big thank you from me, goodgis. I am an amateur game developer myself and your channel has inspired me to keep going. Thank you.
can't wait to play this game! it looks awesome. But I do have one tiny bit of feedback. pushing the box looks kinda slow and tedious. I personally hate pushing boxes in games. I think it would be cool if you could push the box and it moved a few tiles instantly.
Oh cool, I’m glad this game is pretty much finished! Already got it wishlisted and I can’t wait to play it! I should now probably stop procrastinating on my own game and get that done before 2028 too lmao
As someone with 4k+ hours in Aseprite, I want to commend you after watching these devlogs : Its clear you dont have the raw finesse yet, but the style you chose is an incredible fit to your level; Art *direction* wise, you clearly have a lot of talent and good knack for seeking out and transforming inspirations ( e.g. Meta knight teleport on the Beetle ). You did this very well and cleverly, and the game is visually appealing without the individual assets being lookers.
I'm rooting for this game’s success. You inspired me to take my first step in indie game dev, despite not knowing anything about pixel art or even what engine to use at the time. While I'm a solo dev and my game is going to take a good while to finish, I'm making the best of every day progress is made on my project and I hope I get to experience the finish line that you're about to cross with your game, someday. ❤
I've been watching you ever since i discovered ur channel, and i got to say, im so excited for this game! Thx for inspiring my own concept of my own game!
After what I've seen of this game on your channel the past few years I will definitely buy this game. You deserve it for all of your hard work! I'm an aspiring indie game dev and I'm on a Python course right now, it's definitely a learning curve for me but you've given me inspiration and motivation to keep going. Stay awesome!
this is very very cool man! I wish all luck and love for your project! ^^ I've learn A LOT of game design and game development with your videos, thank yooou!!!
This game inspired me to start on game development. When I saw the first devlogs, I just.. wanted tomake something like that. It's REALLY weird to think that it's almost finished.
