Today we are officially finishing the sim rig (for now at least lol) ! I picked up a WRC steering wheel along with the clubsport shifter and clubsport handbrake. I should of did this a long time ago!
I have the WRC wheel as well, and the display works on most console games (well at least the ones that I have, Horizon 5 included), don't know about the Mclaren wheel, don't have one. If you want to get the handbrake a little closer you can turn it so that it is in a vertical layout, but you have to open it up, and flip the handle around, how you had it in its laydown orientation, turned vertical mounted to the shifter.
Nice dude. I bought the exact same setup a month ago. I'm just waiting on my QR2 to arrive for the WRC wheel. Only difference is I use that wheel stand 2.0, because I'd probably collapse the seat you have, haha.
@@dante_lsx Yeah, I'm a huge dude (6'6" 425). I wish I could fit in fancy racing seats. But I have a nice comfy chair, so it's all good. I've been loving F1 23. Layed down a lap at Monza that beat Lewis Hamilton's track record (with assists, but still).
UK or Australian based? I'm from Europe, been living in UK for decade, driving car with left side shifter. Fanatec shifter/handbrake obtained, can't decide to mount it on left or right now haha P.S. love the background footage on TV. about 3 years before ordering shifter I bought short throw stick for shifter, probably on facebook marketplace, can't wait to test it.

Hey dude i bought a full fanatec set up, i was wondering how you feel about the height of the shifter in terms to where you sit in your rig. I come from logitech set up so used to a low sitting shifter on my racing stand. Not sure what racing stand i should get to keep the shifter as low (and realistic) as possible. (I play from the couch)
Its a bit higher than the Logitech set up I had but it’s not bad and doesn’t feel unnatural to me. The base is just pretty tall so on my rig there’s isn’t really a way to get it mounted any lower than it is now
the new wrc from EA is awesome, also noted your going into pc gaming, you wont regret it as you will get the full FANATEC UI support, the club sport porsche 911 wheel looks amazing but pricey.@@dante_lsx
