the gap at the top of the doors, on the middle one you can see the woodgrain when the door is open, which i believe means the top has been put on backwards, the woodgrain should be at the back not the front. That is likely why the gap is so big as the other side (the front ) which should have been facing forwards would give a tighter flush seal
Your storage room & display cases give my OCD soooooooo much satisfaction, lol. I’m pretty jealous of your glass doors, btw. I hate dust too, but I have a lot of sets that won’t fit if I installed the glass doors. Plus, the center, where the doors come together, block so much. So, yeah, I dust & clean a lot🙄 lol.
I worked in a glass shop many years ago when I was a kid. The best way to clean glass is straight ammonia and newspaper. Paper towels leave small paper fibers on the glass.
If they are ikea shelves and doors, which I believe you said they were, you should be able to adjust the doors in a polar direction so they don’t rub but still will close flush to one another
Idk if you changed iPhones mid video but there was a huge improvement of audio quality at 4:27. I'm wearing headphones on the treadmill ,and it was like spatial audio after 4:27.
i couldn't, my lego sets look fine and i have a grill next to my pirates and speed champion sets lol. My star wars sets in the garage are still pretty clean just sitting out. My ewoke village does need the fabric cleaned though.
Hey - the audio with the new iphone 15 pro/max’s are real warpy and weird when zooming. I think Dankpods mentioned it in his review and also offered a solution. Might be worth a lil check? It’s super distracting w/ headphones 😂
I haven’t realised how crappy the IKEA Billy doors were. You are not supposed to dust more frequently than once in a decade with the good doors. Thanks Ryan, you saved me the trouble of disappointment.

@@gavinhartinI see. And I checked Reddit, the gap in the center can be closed by adjusting the hinges. However, my Ikea store made the same assembly mistakes. It can certainly deter people from purchasing, making them feel it's a manufacturing defect. 😢
@MandRvlog Hi Ryan, Really like your vlogs. You kinda seem to be living the dream life , at leat that's what it looks like. I was wondering : How do you feel about the billies as display cabinets ? Was it immediatly clear for you that you wanted Billy bookcases and also the white versions ? I am constantly switching in my mind between black and white ones and been putting off the purchase. The first two that i am going to buy will be used by me mainly for my classic castle and classic space collection. Somehow the black version seems better suited for those sets but most of the users that make Lego content seem to go for the white versions. So maybe there is something i am overlooking in that regard en i should better opt for the white versions. I do also have like 400 sets still sealed mainly StarWars and LOTR / Hobbit sets that need to be build and displayed and they might be better of in a white bookcase. Would you care to share your opinion on that matter and what made you decide to get the white versions? Did you get the 30cm or the 40cm depth versions? Finally, what lighting did you use? One of the versions available at ikea? Thanks in advance if you find the time to respond
Hey, I'm not Ryan, but I do display things on my shelf (mostly Destiny related, i.e. the Collector's Editions items) and I figured I would lend my thoughts. Dust is a dark grey and gets everywhere. In order to see it to know if it's there, it's best that your shelves are white. Of course, black would be better at concealing the dust, but then you wouldn't notice it and it would eventually stick. If you do a good job at making it dust resistant, then you won't get any dust in your white shelves in the first place. Hope this helps!
