I love the Death Star II promo, it is my personal favorite on this list due to the Death Star being one of the most iconic pieces in Star Wars and the 40th-anniversary brick made it even cooler!

Ask M&R: Hey this is something I’ve just noticed the new Mandalorian set that has the red guards just uses the sith trooper body take a look at it what do u think about it?

This is where the fun begins.

The new droid carrier set is just so… perfectly smooth. The slightly unique pilot droids. The very smooth and aesthetically pleasing build that looks like an HD remaster of the classic (while having more functionality.) the small touch of the dark gun metal blasters rather than the classic black. The calm, empty, nostalgia-inducing box art. Perfectly captures the windows xp screensaver vibe of Naboo. The fact that it has both 25 years of Lego Star Wars and 25 years of phantom menace on the box. It’s all the little things that they nailed that push it over the edge for me. They got every little detail right and cut literally no corners, and that’s rare for them as of recently. Personally I think this will age as the best promo ever and the resale value is going to explode.

A history of May 4th promos would be another great video with the other subpromos included, but this was great 👍

Random, but I got my May 4th orders yesterday, and the UPS dude didn't put the boxes in a bag and so my sets got rained on 😂 my boxes are all messed up 💀😂

I know this is an "erm, actually" comment but these mistakes by the editor still bug me, at 1:12 that shuttle wasn't the main promo of 2021, and at 2:39 the stormtrooper on the right isn't the one from set 75132 that Mandr is referring to. Otherwise a fantastic ranking with a good bit of history too.

Imo, each May the 4th promo should be a character from the franchise who is unlikely to get a figure otherwise. Revan should have been followed up by Malak, instead of waiting a decade. Imagine how nuts star wars fans would go for a Mara Jade promo, for example...

Bad Year (fiscally) for Lego Star Wars = Good Promo Set the year after. Encourage some more custom. Good Year = Bad Promo Set the year after. Not as bothered. Must’ve been a belter (2023-24) ‘cause that TPM tat is cheap as fuck with no real mini figures. Anyone want to swap a Saw Garrera figure (from the Sith Infiltrator set) for it? Pethaps save me getting that one (after it gets reduced) - so the set I would’ve bought might later be available for some prequels fan working to a tighter budget.

I just cannot understand why they don't give us what we want. They are so smart with the builds and engineering, but so stupid with their overall ideas. Give us the freaking cool exclusive minifigs. That's what ALL Lego SW fans want. Just f*** do it.

Well I already knew without question Darth Revan is the best, but it’s doesn’t looks exactly 100% modern because there’s no back printing, but to be fair, we don’t exactly know what his back print would have looked like

I was right about where the First Order Stormtrooper and Darth Revan would be placed. I do like the R2-D2 polybag. Only ones I have are BB-8 and the Death Star 2. Good worst to first.

Mandproductions, I have been trying to collect a clone army for the longest time and it is small but dear to my heart. I am still missing one clone though, an orginal ARC trooper with the comma pauldron, backpack and antenna. Would you be willing to trade a p1 bomb squad trooper and an orginal p1 episode 2 clone trooper for one of yours, that has all of the the attachments? If not that is ok, BTW I love your videos. Keep up the good work.

The only one I’ve got (so far) is the Droid Troop Carrier, and I have a second hand TC-4. I would’ve gotten the Lars family kitchen, but other than that most May 4th promos in the past few years have been fairly bland.

I know this has nothing to do with your video, but you are the go to Lego Star Wars content creator I go to. I have a misprinted Phase one Commander Cody from the LAAT gunship set and I am trying to get appraised for its value. His helmet is missing part of his print and part of it looks like it might have been partially smeared when it was put on. Who do you trust to professionally appraise something like that? I have reached out to a few companies who specialize in selling Legos and I haven't heard anything back.

Revan isn’t from the old republic, he is from Kinghts of the Old Republic, lego made sets from the game The old republic so he wouldn’t make sense in them

Starwars, Disney, and Lucasfilms combined licensing cost are way higher compared to Marvel that's why Star Wars sets need to compromise on something for it to be worth it to Lego since this are only promos.

I wish Lego would go back to minifigure polybags instead of doing the anniversary figs in sets. Some of those figures are super cool, but some of the sets they come in are just a bit lackluster
