We have been full-time liveaboards since May 2020. We spent the first year and a half aboard a 1965 Alberg 30 that we have owned since 2010. We recently upgraded to a 1980 Tartan 37 named Acadia and we are so excited to continue our cruising journey! Be sure to SUBSCRIBE to see our journey!

Great series, OK, question: How much of your ICW trip involved sailing vs motoring? Did you ever think: why bother doing this in a sailboat? A small cruiser might be more comfortable, and I'll bet they have a shallower draft as well. I'm a sailor, but I always wondered about that. Of course, if you went to the Bahamas, you probably have enjoyed lots of sailing there.

So it seems that you have a 55-foot air draft. Yes?

Did you calculate how much faster or slower the trip would have been if you went out at Ft. Lauderdale and in by noname harbor?

We didn’t, we were trying to finish it all “inside” but I’m sure it would have been faster because of all the bridges. The only issue is how close the Gulf Stream is to shore in that area! I think we would have to be practically on the beach to avoid it 😂

@@AbroadReachTravel There's a back eddy along the beach so it's nice to be away from the madding crowd and also to be getting a speed boost.
