When you paint an engine like you painted the tractor it's called an eBay rebuild. But in this case, the Soviet tractor actually thought it was rebuilt. Just pressure washing it made things work...lol🤣
I’m pretty new to the channel, so I went back and I have watching a bunch of your older videos and o have been enjoying the content. And I have to say, Ants, you are not scared of work, and you are a concrete making MACHINE !! Love your sense of humor. Thanks for the good content and I’m here to stay. (Seth from North Carolina)
First time I actually caught a new video. Think I’ve seen most your previous ones. Love your humor! So did those hydraulic lines leak after welding near the connections? If not consider yourself very fortunate! LoL
Summertime I put a barrel on a stand and let sun heat it up. It gravity feeds into my pressure washer. A metal tank can have a pipe run threw it and put a weed burner or tiger torch in pipe and heat water to wash with
My husband Len asked me to mention a couple of things that might make your life a little easier. 1. From an old journeyman carpenter, spray old engine oil on concrete forms to make it easier to strip them. 2. Don’t use a hammer on the lathe. It is a precise instrument for cutting metal. Do not throw away any parts or pieces. You will end up needing them as your skill level increases. You will be sad 😢if you do. We enjoy your humor and your videos. Keep up the good work both with your hands and the camera!
Well done Andris. I think you have done a fantastic job on the tractor. The tractor will thank you for the oil changes and the new led lights will keep you safe by letting you see more. Great job all round. Thanks for sharing and keep safe.
Just started watchin this channel and im hooked i saw in the last video you have ikh tools 😅👍also when welding the loader caps i hope you drill a small hole in the lower part of the pipe to let water out so they dont explode in cold conditions 😁
Thorough service and paint refresh! When you put in the most important thing - I thought it was going to be a cup-holder. Enjoy your cruising' man. And plenty oil for timber preservation too. Thanks Andris.
Ants Pants, I alway's look foreword to your Videos and the jobs that you get into around your home. Great stuff man. Thank you for bringing me along with you... And by the way, you don't have a Lazy Bone In Your Body... LMAO. If anything you are a workaholic individual.
Wow that was some referb to an old machine. What took 1 hr of youtube must have taken many days of actual work. I hope you becom more like andy in this reapect , andy has a million subs and in all his videos he never asked anyone to watch or asked for 1 sub , and I have seen all of them ,it is amazing.
That was a lot of grime on the floor. Maybe the grime kept the leaver stuck? I know one guy who managed to get the gear jammed and now all he has is just reverse gears. Now that is just rotten luck at another level. 10 points for the lights upgrade now you can see where your going. Original lights are not that great driving in the darkness.
Un super taf que tu fait encore bravo à toi, dommage que nous sommes loin sinon je serai venu t'en donner un coup de main encore merci à toi et à très bientôt mon amis
Cool job, mate! Congrats! It was about time, because I had the impression that you were kinda fed up with that, right? Love your kind of humor more and more! Greetings from Germany from the silver fox, David 😉🦊
I was a maintenance guy for a school and mixed a bunch of stuff to clean a bathroom, it made toxic smoke and we had to clear the building, was a mess. By the way you got the chair in the video good job !
Another GREAT video. You somehow always find a way to make me laugh. Even if it's having one of your "crappy soviet chairs" in the shot somewhere. Have a great weekend! Ohio
A nice, satisfying project. the old tractor looks great. I'll bet the family loved hearing you start up the tractor at 1:00 a.m. for your joy ride. LOL.
Thanks for your vid Ants 😇💟💟💟 Love and bless you, it became beautiful now you could easily fit the snow plow on the front of your tractor or do you like to drive backwards all the time.
Hi Mr ants pants…as always you are entertaining and amusing…I may have a suggestion for you regarding starting diesels….you do not need to crank the engine endlessly…the best way is very simple and effective Crank engine until you see smoke …then let it sit for maybe. 30 seconds…this lets the. Heat from the fuel be absorbed into the combustion chamber…then when you turn it over you again let the heat sink in….two to three times will be successful…I had equipment that did not start as quickly as I would have liked and this process works very well
Hey Charles, Thanks for the tip. Iv usually crancked the engine over for a bit with compression off, so it can spin over easily and get the engine oil circulated before it explodes into work.
If I was the farmer next door and I heard your tractor at 1 o'clock in the morning I would be thinking, ' The Belorussians have just crossed the border.' and be packing the car. 🤣😆😂
*- Andris, as you know, to protect the wires going through the hole in the box **41:01**, use an appropriate sized and length of rubber tubing, cut a slit on one side, slip it onto the hole's edged and there you have it...a home made wire grommet.*
Awesome job my brother Andris, everything looks great! 👌🏻🤙🏻🤙🏻 Thanks for sharing and keep yourself safe, warm and healthy my friend! Kirk from Louisiana USA, sending prayers for you and your family! 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👌🏻🤙🏻🤙🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻🇺🇸
Make a proper seat for zip line. For adults and kids. 2 different seats. Add an extension the the zip line to travel to another area of the property. Add a power component to the zip line to allow travel by just the motor, no slope required. Make a zip line network for you to travel to any location on your property in a couple of minutes. Make better use of rock collection. Make a sorter, to separate the dirt from the gravel from the medium sized rocks. Try to make a real rock wall. Make sure it looks nice and well made. Collect sand from your pit. Collect rock from your pit. Make a rock crusher. Use the stream as a source of electric power.
My buddy Buck turned me on to this channel. ANTZ, you sir are as rare as earth's precious resources to humans existence lol! Although I am surrounded by creatures of talents in various forms... I am excited to have the opportunity to learn further.... people such as you to the "can do" attitude!! Got me a lot of catching up to do with your past postings. Keep it rolling Antz as I will share my associates, friends, and family in the enlightening world you exist in!!! Thank you!
I used to work at an equipment dealer. When we would wash equipment we used a strong soap called Green Venom. Stuff was pretty good soap. If you weren't careful the soap runoff would turn the same color as the paint on the equipment when the soap was washed off.
Nice little serie! Those tractor seems really great, I almost bought an avto T40 last year but it was only 2wd. I loved the simplicity of the engine. I had a bunch of overdue maintenance too on my old jcb. The thing is sold now, happy new owner and now i'm on a hunt for a bobcat ^^ Cheers !
50:50 was the best part of the entire video. Making that reference made me literally spit my drink out in laughter. Knowing you made the reference being European and it’s an American problem, makes it even funnier. You just gained points with me!!!
There are viewers, about to cry. It is a waste of time to clean equipment, until you now it is 100 % serviceable. I don’t understand. Unless you love to roll around in the filth, oil, grease, crud. while you repair your equipment. I am happy to see ants is a stand up human that takes pride in his work.
Hey I was going to tell you that that thick grease on your tractor can be loosened up with oven cleaner. Just spray a couple of coats on , wait 30 minutes and wash off. Once you get the tractor wet, don’t use it again, till the water evaporates. You don’t need to use name brand. Just buy the cheap spray, works the same.
Thanks Jerry, i am waiting for some better weather to do some dozer treatment. But as for an paintjob. Most likely won't happen before i get the shed finished for it.
So nice to see the old girl get a bit of a spruce up. You not have passed muster, if you had been one of my electrical apprentices, but you knew what you were doing and got the job done. It's a testament to the build design that Old Blue is one tough bit of machinery and a little TLC goes a long way. I hope the dozer doesn't give you too much trouble. Great job and enjoyable to watch. Thanks Ant.
Hello again from Canada, OLD BLUE looks like a new tractor, love your expression when the reverse started working it was hilarious 😂, I look for every week to watch your next post, don't stop your great brother, the humor you have while working is infectious oh and you should paint the dozer to match OLD BLUE see you next time
You are straightening bars like on Pakistani Truckers channel the frames of the trucks! The starting current of the tractor is so high that even LED lamps are blinking down. The small two-stroke engine as the starter of the bigger Diesel motor is good idea, and you don't need a big battery then. As DiodeGoneWild says: NICE!
Ideas for future projects. Gravel driveway to help with winter ice problem. Make the cold storage house look like a hobbit house. Install a wind turbine. Install a solar panel system. Make better use of tunnel between garage and house. Plant more trees. Show an over view of your property and lay out future planting projects. Set up mowing schedule pattern to maximize apple collection. Remove all plants, weeds between trees you are growing. Take soil samples of the dirt around the tree area. Show how to amend the soil to maximize the growth. Trim trees to allow the most airy open area under trees. Show how you fix more items, bulldozer, excavator, skid steer. Try to develop a 10 year plan for tree planting, up keep or improvements on the dirt roads. House additions, build a bigger wood storage shed. Build a big equipment storage garage. With tall ceilings, a life, power air compressor. Great lighting. Build an apple cleaning juice making area. To a clean kitchen standard. Get married, have kids and become a billionaire.
As a fellow Soviet Equipment investor, Love the content you create! I had similar issue with my T-40 two weeks ago while pulling a car through snow I had the Reverse lever stuck in the middle no gears at all, I got scared I broke the clutch on the gearbox. As I have split the beast twice I really feel like its the worse thing to brake! I have a lot to catch up on your channel!
@@Ants_Pants not in this case, but I broke it before. And then also broke the Basket that holds the clutch. We have everything on our channel only thing it would take few years to watch everything 😂 but these tractors have a problem where gears get stuck together, my uncle said on normal day in the forest he had to open the gearbox cover 3 time to separate the gears. Only happens on heavy loads. I am really enjoying your videos! Love the machines and your property really has been transformed into something magical! I am thinking about building a front loader but you scared me saying these tractors can't handle a lot of pressure on the front axle and I would definitely abuse it 🤔 not sure. Maybe need a bobcat? Or a digger? I think the list of toys is long! 😁
@@DoBeDiff boys and their toys :D my dream would be to own a k-700 A, i would have ZERO use for the thing, but you know, must have it because "reasons" haha
Dang, some day there will be a farm auction and all your stuff will get sold. Its a good thing that your have a you tube channel to explain all of the custom mods you made on everything. Good luck suckers.
We look forward to your video on Friday here. Ha ha had to laugh wash the tractor and the reverse works...who figured 🤷♀️ . Your L shape iron we call Angle Iron here. Man you come up with great ideas. Oh you are far from lazy. And the tractor paint job looks pretty darn good..Lights, horn all the gage's look great! Great Job!
I believe your "Old Blue" is a misnomer as is the "T-40". Anyone who has watched your channel for a while knows that is a T-34 repurposed and working under cover from the Soviets. Only way it would survive the beating you give it!! Those old WWII trench trompers are tough.
Sorry for my bad english already, but when you are pressing electric connectors by using those type of pliers, use the inner smaller part that is near the end. I found that its most easiest way to press and connector will stay tight.
Very professionally completed. The painted job looks freaking awesome like it would be a different tractor. Those led lights look amazing, must-have thing on t - 40. I have searched videos on youtube and other places about soviet tractor restoration or something similar, but this seems most perfect refresh restoration job.👍 Howdy from Latvia.
Hey buddy love your work. Next time you’re hauling loads with the trailer try adding some weight in the bucket or on the forks. Just watching your video building the rock wall in front of the cabin. That counterweight you buried would be an ideal start. Might even need something heavier. Good luck
Hey Mike, Don't really want any weight on the front axel, as it has the old style powered steering and if it gets overloaded it's really hard to turn the wheels
I cant belive that I watched a vlog almost for an hour and half, watching you welding, hamering on the tractor, and I’m not even interested in such things/crap 😅 I’m longing for you to start building at the house again. Have a nice weekend 😂😂😂 By the way you should have named it ”The Old Blue Crap”😂😂😂😂
