You have no idea how happy I am with your former employer. The weekend videos were already amazing, but extra videos? Even better! I really hope it works out for you Andris!
Wow, two bottle jacks, a pile of wood blocks, some broken cinder blocks, a little soapy water, some Ants Pants ingenuity and kaboom . . . A WORKING CLUTCH! No need to remove the cab or engine. GREAT JOB! Back in business! Way to go!!
@@RectalRooter maybe wrong tinking, but i prefer expresion lift jack, than bottle jack, ( i know, wrong word, but same meaning) ,why? Exacly becaus of your thinking... 🤣🤣🤣 And for yours so nasty thots.... well, too much or too less of it (you know what).... 🤣🤣🤣
Hi, hello Andris. I think since ages ago watching your channel I have come to the conclusion it should be renamed " Ants Pants Ingenuity Centre". I think the thing is that people watching this have come across obstacles and dead ends on projects, but YOU have the mind set and skills to overcome these. Giving others the encouragement to get in the same mindset, to have a go.. So it's no wonder your channel is increasing. Sorting things out, fixing it, with a massive sense of humour. 10/10 my friend.
Excellent News.... Joseph is Free to roam again ❤❤..... As many have said, a frozen clutch plate is common on heavy equipment that's stood a long time..... you've done exceptionally well in unsticking it in the manner you've used.... who'd have guessed.... hot, soapy water...... I'll remember that..... very well done.... excellent information 👌 👏 👍..... All the best from Portland, Dorset, U.K........
Lithuanian American here in NYC. I have worked on heavy equipment since 1979. In Russia " strong like bull smart like tractor".. I wish i could get a few old Soviet Dozers and parts imported to America. We had Belarus farm equipment. Vinegar hot water. Soak on friction disc. Also Ajax cleaning powder on oily glazed clutch brakes we used on old cranes burned in friction lining .
Same thing happens with automobile Drum brakes. It was hot. As it cooled, moisture condensated & oxidized, gluing it together. "You rode it hard and put it away wet" as an old Cowboy would say. Now it's free, don't leave that water in there. Spray a couple cans Brake Kleen in there to flush out the water. Buy a tarp for Joseph!
Who ever told Ants_Pants to use soap water to free the clutch was a genus. Never heard of that method myself. The cover you looked at is actually were the engine timing marks are. From now on it's just fine tuning and adjustments. Very happy you got it unstuck. Definitely there was a few hairy moments when the dozer decided not to turn and just sink deeper into the ground. But what is life without little excitement?
Wait What? Whoa! Andris, you had me going and screaming, ( like, watching Gretzky scoring his many hat tricks or sharing the puck with his teammates. ) when you first had to stop and put in reverse, wow you had no idea it was going to work and it did. You did bud, good job and I agree with that commenter, I hope you being full time can complete projects and live and work the way you want to. Cheers...Amazing
The clutch sticking to the flywheel is a very common issue if a vehicle has been stood unused for a long time. The usual solution is starting in gear but I don't know if you can even do that on this machine. The other is to warm up the whole bell housing then hit it hard with a lump hammer whilst the pedal is depressed.
Woot!!! Who would have thought that hot soapy water would do the trick? But I’m happy you got Joseph back up and running. Can’t wait to see what your other ‘behemoth’ ends up doing!!
Glad you got it unstuck. It’s hard to believe how rusted the clutch can get to stick it to the flywheel especially on a machine that big. Years ago my father in law had an old Allis Chalmers model G tractor that he used only in summer here in Minnesota. Every spring we had to pull it out of the shed and start it in gear, hold the clutch in and run into a big oak tree in the yard to get it unstuck. Love your videos!
Thanks buddy, you made my day! Hey everybody, we need to spread the word about this great show and get Ants more subscribers. Where are all the folks that like Andrew C. ? Does Andrew ever watch Ants I wonder? Have a great day from Canada.
We used to unstick clutches by giving everything inside the bellhousing a good long blast with the steam-cleaner, then emptying a halon or co2 extinguisher all over the clutch. it never failed! the steam cleaner gets any gunk out and heats everything up, then the shock-cooling finishes the job.
This is really a wonderful and exciting news. Now if you get the Kirovets working you will be your own road crew. I cannot wait to see what havoc you will wreak!
Great video, great result. I had thoughts of you unable to stop or turn it, the next video could have been how to rebuild a shed or house, but big 👍👍 I think that it was a timing mark under the little cover plate.
Thanks Andris for the vid 😇💗💗💗 love and bless you, good to see Joseph back in action again never give up Andris you can do more then you think,, that was very dangerous with those stone blocks but you got it done 👍 good work 😁👏👏👏
Joseph your level of openness to the camera to talk to the camera and your lovely sense of humor are just awesome to behold. I'm watching From Seattle, USA.
Great video Ants, man you’re fearless. That all looked very scary, when all those blocks came down. You are definitely value for money😅. How is supermum?
yay for Andris! I was hoping you didn't have to drop the trans of pull the engine on that beast and say hello to an asbestos clutch nightmare. So happy for you!
J'aurais vraiment été triste d'apprendre la fin de mon ami Joseph. Je pense que le matériel Soviétique est increvable ... Merci pour cette résurrection. Amicalement depuis la France.
Andris, awesome outcome for you mate, well done, maybe all Joseph needs is a good hard workout to get rid of the winter stiffness, anyway mate, well done, so happy it’s working ok.
There's nothing stopping you . When you make up your mind to do something you go for it and it work I was surprised to see a video beginning of the week make my day. Does Steve have a RU-vid channel he seems to be a very interesting person
How many times have I told you... a clean tool is a happy tool!😂 Or as my mom used to say, soap and water washes everything but sin!🤣🤣 I can feel that new road a-coming!
The Endoscope is definitely a cool thing to have, especially if you need to check an engine from the inside. I feel like some more practice is required, but really cool to have. Happy you got joseph back to a working state, that lazy thing hasnt been helping in a bit.
Oh, my. Gosh I know you are a full-time you tuber. Now you are my best channel. I look forward to and now your video is so short. I don't know if I can bear The Strain. I might have to have a ship of 2 of good Kentucky bourbon to get over that. You just have fabulous content. You are my buddy, your friend in Kentucky, big Jim.
Hi from the Czech Republic Ants Pants 👍. So repairing the clutch was fun 😁😁. She just got old and didn't want to work.. You mustn't leave Joseph alone for too long 😁😁. Good luck 👍
The equaliser spring is allowing the engine/ chassis to raise when you are jacking it. Jacks should be under the springs or frame near it to lift the front of the tracks up. God try though and worked through getting the stuck friction plate released..
