Finland is the same friend who looks absolutely normal when sober, but when he drinks, he starts doing things that in a sober mind he wouldn't even have guessed, I love it
@ivanicanov8067 ( from america so take what I’m bout to say with several grains of salt ) Finland is that cousin at the family reunion that stands near all the booze and doesn’t drink in PUBLIC but will consume a sip or two in private
@@escziva69Jezebel wasn‘t bad at all, it just had one of the worst stagings. The broadcaster has saved far too much on pyrotechnics in recent years. Both Jezebel and Cha Cha Cha were incredibly lean on pyro and staging.
@@Brash_Candicoot Hard to get over a silver when your football team lost the final, just because the referee invalidated some of your goals with some made-up excuses. 🤷♂
@@thrasherdave1428 They're not doing that bad tbh. Juries just need to stop giving that many points to bland ballads and mid-tempo songs (and to Sweden).
Pertti Kurikan Nimipäivät will forever be one of my favourite entries ever in Eurovision history, it's some of the purest punk I have ever seen! Kiitos Suomi from Italy 🇫🇮♥️🇮🇹
Saara Aalto deserved at least top 10. So underrated! PS. "Oh, oh" part of the 2014 song reminded me of "Viva La Vida" that I've never been realising before 😁
Ive been watching Eurovision since year 2018, im so glad being finnish our homecountry Finland is the country of Rock. My favourite Finland's Eurovision songs are Darude's look away, Blind channel's dark side and Käärijä's cha cha cha and cant wait next year. 🇫🇮
I hope that next year Finland will come again with a good song.i love cha cha cha. Thanks to käärijä, I started to learn Finnish (greetings from Czech) kiitos ❤🇫🇮
*Softengine, Pertti Kurikan Nimipäivät, Norma John, Blind Channel, The Rasmus, Käärijä, Finland become a real powerhouse at Eurovision in the last couple of years. UMK '23 is one of the best NF's i've ever watched. I'm so glad that Finland improved a lot and moved from zero to HERO. Should have been Helsinki 2024!*
One thing I can say is that the COVID-19 pandemic has really worked for Finland. The country has really changed 180 degrees after the pandemic. I congratulate them from the bottom of my heart! I am sure that Finland will win Eurovision in the next few years, because the country really deserves it. 💙🇫🇮🧖🏻♂️
@@Brash_Candicoot i know but he was so heartbroken 😭😭😭😭😭😭 but you people can still be soooo proud of him!!! Europe fell in love with him and your country!!
Aksel and his song are some of the unforgettable things of ESC and also I don't know why but I feel that I am falling in love with Käärijä seriously ❤😂😅
the fun thing about the nordics is that they changed a lot after covid - denmark became dreadful - iceland managed to be "stable" - sweden maintained their quality - norway is fine - finland evolved in such a big way
I am from Finland and since 2018 esc I have hoped that Finland wins esc but no. And I think that I can already tell we won't win next year either. I still watch eurovision but only for the music. I haven't cared how far Finland can go or could it win. This year it was so close. We have already won one time and our second best position is 2nd so I don't want to be rude but honestly what else we have achieve anymore? Yeah I know I may sound dumb but yeah that is what I think. Esc is still good and all lots of music and coming together and all it is iconic moment of the whole year to watch Eurovision I love it cause of the music.
Someone is disappointed that Cha Cha Cha didn't win the Eurovision, but I am still disappointed that Cicciolina didn't win UMK in 2020. P.S. I am a fan of finnish 2008 entry
Saara Aalto 🥰 Luckily get to known her through Eurovision, she is such a great singer 😊 And of course The Rasmus, love them since 2003 🥺 Blind Channel were also very good. And Käärija... We don't need to talk about him 💚💚💚
Finland in the past 10 years 🇫🇮: 2023 - He's iconic, he's a legend, he is Käärijä. The king of crazy... Sorry Bejba! 2022 - Basically a return of Rasmus to the international stage. Not sure how long it can keep the momentum though. 2021 - F*$k yeah... I mean f*$k yeah!!! 🤘🤘🤘 2020 - This is still on my playlist. I just love this song. 2019 - The return of Mr. Sandstorm. But the live performance was engulfed by a big tsunami. 2018 - Saara attemped to step on Eurovision stage many times and when she did, she had been ignored by voters and almost did not qualified. So sad and underrated. 2017 - A true definition of 'emo'. Yup even with ballad songs Finland just know how to emo-fied it. 2016 - Lame party starter. 2015 - Bless their hearts and what they are protesting for. But it's a no... 2014 - Since the departure of Turkey, Finland does not have any competition that sends rock music almost regularly. It is such a great pop-rock song. I hope the 20's will be a decade for Suomi.
Watching Finlands trend in latest years, we can say that they can bring something even better than Cha Cha Cha AND they are gonna take the win back in Sweden.
Hearing it now, I must admit Keiino's (Norway 2019) resembles Saara Aalto's Monsters (2018) in chorus hmmmmm Btw, Rasmus and Blind Channel my faves in past decade
Looking Back is the best for them. Aksel’s modern staging, vocals and the song would be the most memorable performance. But the corona… He really deserves more of everything, everything ❤
2022, 2019, 2018 and 2017 are ROBBED. Just saying that Finland is the most underrated country with jurys! And like our neighbour sweden gets always so many jury points even if the song is bad :(. Norway is with us so many good songs but always low in jury points. But Finland has got kinda hight with only public points and we saw that in 2021 and 2023! And norway has done it too almost every year! AND then our neighbour sweden... gets not so many public votes in any year besides in 2023, 2022 and 2015! Sweden has won eurovision 7times and 4 of them are bc of jurys... Finland has won once and it was bc of Public! Im just saying that jurys like only classic songs every year like "only teardrops" denmark -2013 i love that song btw "tattoo" sweden -2023 " and portugals song in 2017! WE WANT NEW SONG CULTURES TO WIN!!
