This is a complete package. Finland is definitely not going for safe this year. I love this song so much. It is weird it is catchy and the act is brilliant. 12 points to Finland. CHA CHA CHA TO THE TROPHY.
The lyrics are about how finnish people are usually all shy and introvert and grumpy when being sober. Aftet hard work week he wants to relax with some piña coladas at a club. At the end when the music gets calmer and slower, he has broken his icy shell and he’s heading to the dance floor where he can be more open and himself. Kinda like the whole song those two sides are fighting, and at the end the more fun and open side takes over. If that made any sense :D
All of them went from being scared and confused to screaming and singing along in the end He's too strong If the juries don't ruin him in the final, he has top-3 potential This is just amazing
unpopular opinion here: this is why he's currently my number 1. He wrote it himself, it's divisive, risky, it has the best "call to action" of any entry thus far and it's not a formula. while others have the same songwriters as their old songs, textbook Eurovision staging, similar styles of what we've seen before, etc. Spain and Finland are the only ones that were brave enough to send something unique this year (at the moment)
At the beginning I was like: "Oh... just another typical Finland-ish metal entry", and then the dancers came in in pink, and the first CHA CHA CHA began, and they just got me and never let me go again... I'm so obsessed with this. I think that the winner (so far) will be between Ukraine (duh), Finland, Norway, or Sweden (if Loreen wins). Thank you Scandinavia for bringing me back the hope on the contest ❤. Love from a Chilean Eurofan 🇨🇱📍🇨🇭
I love the energy and the self-irony. And I want the outfit 😁In the end he sings "I'm not afraid the world anymore" and the tone changes 180 degrees. So free yourself, just dance cha cha cha 😋
It is absolutely impossible to talk while watching that performance, it is totally bonkers and captivating and the catchiest thing ever. I do think that the whole thing is like some kind of fever dream to watch but so very entertaining. Definitely a song that I didn't want to like but do! Surely top 5??
I LOVE the DANCERS and think they represent a l c o h o l. The first verse begins with "I'm holding drinks with two hands" and he's controling the dancers with ropes (both hands). The second verse begins with "after a few pina coladas" and now the dancers are free and begin fighting with eachother. It's very well staged, great song, I hope it wins! ❤🎉🇫🇮
This screams winner from a distance as far as from Brussels to Liverpool! I want this to win and show how we never should take us seriously yet do the job exquisitely!
I think Katie's right - it's very much love it or hate it. And I love it. It's been stuck in my head on and off since the UMK songs were all released, and I'm pleased it won. Finland, though, deserve credit for having a national final without a single dud song. Seven great options, one good final. This is one I have as a potential winner, or top 5 at least. Certainly with televises. And I'm imagining the noise of the arena in Liverpool as everyone chants along....
I loved it when the cha cha dancers came in. It's like him saying "you expect cha cha dancers to come in, here you have them! But I'm gonna subvert your expectations with them." It's manic genius!
The man is fighting his own demons at first so the cha cha dancers look a bit evil. When he gets liberated and the music changes the dancers also look happier 😄
i just imagine if liverpool everybody sing same time those cha cha chaa part, how cool is that and how much that give goosepumps in audience there and people who watching tv. thanx to great reaction and have wonderful week.
This song has multiple meanings, but the most prominent one is that ”do not be afraid to be the true yourself”. The next close meaning is that ”men are often ’forced’ to be manly and macho, and they find it hard to be themselves under the macho shells and the booze plays an excuse in this song to be themselves.. and they could blame the alcohol for the night’s behaviour in the morning”. Also applies to sexuality. And also fits this stressful time we are living in. Cha cha cha represents the true self of him under the macho shell and the dancers show the inner fighting on the stage as they are the true him who fights the macho singer him.
Love it! I rarely comment on any songs, especially Eurovision songs. BUT This is original, strong, different, and very catchy! This is the type of song that stands out from the crowd. No pleasing dull melodies that we´ve heard a million times. I think this will win the whole thing, I listened to all the songs a minute ago, and this one is undoubtedly in the top 3, if not the WINNER!
This is everything ESC fans want, I suppose. Serious messages in songs are appreciated but there is always so much shit going on in the world that this will be a few-minutes-relief from that. And we already know that that shade of green works really well on the ESC stage ;-)
Imagino todo el público de Liverpool enloquecido, celebrando esta locura y dejando una de las actuaciones más iconicas de la historia del Festival. Definitivamente se cuela en el TOP 3, junto a España y???.....Enhorabuena por el canal.
Sad thing is that so many Finnish people are ashamed to send a song that is in Finnish language. They say it can't be a success because no-one will understand the lyrics. We should not be ashamed of our language and you don't have to understand the lyrics. You can still CHA CHA CHAA!
Get ready, y'all cause Finland is winning the televote in May 13th at Liverpool!!! Unless somebody else comes up with something more original and catchy than Cha Cha Cha (which I doubt it's gonna happen) Finland is finishing at least top 5 this year, if not top 3!
Yeah, definitely 300+ points in the televote, will be interesting to see how the juries rank this. Finland would need to be at least top 4 with the juries to pull off the win
