Finland looks to bounce back from a tournament-opening loss to Canada, while Germany looks to get it's first win over Finland at the WJC ever. #WorldJuniors
As a Canadian it’s absolutely embarrassing that a game as good as this only got 3 minutes when a undeniably less enjoyable Canada game got 9 minutes of “highlights”
This is exactly why international growth of hockey is so important. Germany is getting very talented at this sport, and as a CanadianI’m soproud🇩🇪🇩🇪🇩🇪🇩🇪
for the Hockey to grow internationally, the US and Canada and mostly NHL would have to care about the international competitions. They only care about their own leagues and money.
if we beat Latvia, that should be enough to get us through. I don't see Canada dropping any points to Latvia and even if Latvia were to beat Germany, that would see us through.
These are the moments we live for in the tournament. Being Canadian of course we all expect our boys to win gold every year but these kind of wins are just amazing to witness. first time in 26 tries that Germany beat Finland just awesome congrats Germany
I hate that I’m going to miss all of these games because of the early start times, this tournament is one of the things I most look forward to every year
The 4th German goal shouldn't have happened, play should have been blown dead when the German player accidentally slufooted the Finish defender as he coasted behind him to take the pass. 2 min for interference.
that was bad game for finland, i have never seen that finland play this bad. but the fact is that they had more places to do but still germany scored more. im btw finnish🇫🇮
That 4th Germany goal should have been called back. #15's skate was clipped by German skater causing him to fall. Interference would have been the right call. Shame.
Good for Germany, but Finnish hockey is dying. Only two first round picks in the past three years. Also, a lot of the highly drafted Finnish players before that are busts - Joulevi, Kakko, Laine etc.
