The most standout thing about this US team was if you weren't paying attention to the numbers on the back of the jersey you couldnt tell which line was out there.
Very true, they kept rolling out top talented lines and eventually just ground down the competition the entire tournament. I love those dark jerseys too...classic. The contrast with the yellow Swedes looked great on the screen.
*Absolutely 100% deserved USA Champion ! Team USA at this Tournament was two heads above all other teams in class, skill, talent, team play!* USA scored the most goals in the Tournament 7 matches = 45 GOALS ! My 100% accurate comment and my prediction for the final under yesterday's video Highlights USA VS Finland copied: *Team USA in the FINAL today EASILY beat Sweden 5-1 .... Sweden has NO CHANCE!* USA team is the best and strongest team in this Tournament ! USA team won 100% deservedly ! USA team totally dominated in 2nd and 3rd period ! Finland team very lucky big luck with the first two goals = it was random garbage ! USA team all goals are very beautiful with high skill !
@GTC528 And the 6 players on the USA that are from Minnesota, which is the most from one state. Minnesota is the state of hockey, just not professionally. Which is sad since most American born NHLer’s come from Minnesota.
As a Canadian I wanted to thank Swedes for a great tournament! Great city, great people, great arena and amazing atmosphere during the games! Only negative was, that Canada was eliminated so early. Otherwise, by far my best World Juniors ever! Thank you!
I've always viewed Canada as our good neighbors to the North! And the entire world owes the Freedom Convoy many thanks for fighting for freedom against government overreach! Imagine that, truck drivers, blue collar workers, and not lawyers nor legislators fighting for world freedom, and winning! Thank you from North Carolina! 🇨🇦 🇺🇲
hell of a tournament for the United States. Never really in doubt though I was stunned Finland went up 2-0 on us. Awesome host country in Sweden their crowds were great. 🥇🇺🇸

@@Elliesbow Canada owns you guys in hockey, pipe down. Canadas team wasn't as good this year because all their best players eligible are tearing it up in the NHL. USA is just starting to become super competitive with Canada which is good for the sport, but USA will never be what Canada is in terms of talent.
@@CarolEllerman our team was sub par this year, and our goaltending was weak, too many easy goals let in. You need great goaltending to win this tourney.
@@CMW. tf you talking about? USA development has definitely caught up to Canada. Not gonna pipe down after we just won gold. You guys couldn’t even escape with a medal 😂😂😂
That really sucked as a Swede but USA are just so effective, turnovers, blocking shots, goaltending. In terms of shots and puck possession it was an even game but again I’m just blown away by the US team. They played a near on perfect game. Edit: Lot of americans claiming Johansson got manhandled in the fight after the game. The clip were Johansson is beating the living christ out of Hutson is all over the internet. Wishful thinking on your behalf. There was blood all over the ice, not a scratch on the Swedish player. Go and have a look.
Sweden sucked out at the end trying to start a fight. Punching with their gloves on, 2 guys against one and you still got manhandled. Few years back you lost to Canada and one baby, Lias Anderson, peed his pants and started crying before throwing his medal over the glass. Enjoy the Silver medal Robin, it's all Sweden ever gets
Lets not be that biased and selective. They are battered and beaten, USA players like Augustine and McGroarty are taunting the swedish bench and fans for minutes on end. Cutter Gauthier crosschecks a swede skating by in the back to start the last minute brawl. Can't act surprised you got stung after poking the beehive. Totally classless behavier by a couple of the US players, (McGroarty, Leonard and Augustine) If anything the swedes acted TOO passive to all the countless taunts. Not a good look for some of the US players i'd say.@@karlfalckh3498
Thanks neighbor and sorry you had to leave a bunch of your boys back home in the league. Would have been sick to have another US vs. Canada final but there's always next year.
Glad to hear that. Strange how many Canadian fans cheering against the USA? When it's not us playing for something I'm always on board with Canadian teams. Overwhelming all the sad fans in red jerseys when America scored. I'll try and cheer them up on their winter trips to Florida@@outbound2explore119
@@user-zf7zm9hv3m I'm talking about the championship of youth teams. Russia is quite strong in this sport. It's like removing the Brazilian national team from football.
@@blitzkrieg634 I don’t remember that US and British athletes were suspended from tournaments for the actions of their governments when the troops of these countries invaded Iraq. Do you have anything to say about this? )
Love this game. USA definitely had the talent, depth and chemistry edge this go around. Great offensive skill. Sweden had a great run but came up short. Side note…Peter Forsberg is still my favorite NHL player of all time #21 🇸🇪
So frickin awesome!! Great coaching. Watched the game and it seemed so clear that Team USA was so much faster on each line!! Team USA 🇺🇸 was on a mission. 🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸
As an American hockey player (but very old!), I am so happy for the gold, but it did seem we were a little cocky after scoring. No wonder there was a fight at the end.
Mind games belong to the game, especially if 99% of the hall cheers for the opposing team. US team was the most mature in the tournament in every aspect, congrats from a Czech fan.
Had the same thought, blowing the kisses, the crazy cheering after an empty netter - I get you sealed the game, but have some class for the sport! Hell of a team though!
That performance by Team USA throughout the tournament was about as dominant as I've seen from an American team in a tournament. So many great young players. This one felt good as an American Hockey fan. Still feel cheated that we didn't get USA vs. Canada.
I can’t stand people saying that the last celly from the american player is “disrespectful” or “disgusting”. However, I can’t stand people saying that the Swedish crowd was obnoxious and hostile either. I’ve been living in Europe for the last couple of years and in every sporting event I’ve been to the fans are absolutely amazing in terms of creating an atmosphere, and that’s what it all should be about imo. The crowd becomes like an extra player if that makes sense. Of course the home fans (the Swedes this time) is going to taunt and try their best to get the opposing team out of balance mentally, and of course the opposing players, filled with emotion, are able to (to some degree) be cocky when things go their way. However, I still think that there needs to be some kind of humbleness when winning, especially in a final like this. And from what I’ve heard and seen from some of the interviews by the US players after the game there was none of that (I guess it’s only the videos that creates discussion that pops up into one’s feed, so don’t quote me too hard) Anyways, congrats to USA after playing such an amazing tournament, you guys deserved it! And to all of you Swedes out there, your gold is coming, with the amount of talent you guys produce there is no doubt in my mind!🥇
What a tourney. Two best teams made it to the finals, and the best team won. Proud of the Canucks prospects on team Sweden. Hope Canada has a better team next year.
@@niclas9990 who attacked? the hockey players? The fact of the matter is that this is politics and has nothing to do with sports. The United States also attacked many people in Vietnam, Yugoslavia, Iraq, and Afghanistan. Don't you think this is hypocrisy?
@@zhuchillo5485 I do, yes. The U.S. should have been barred from international events in the same manner. Failure to adhere to international rules and norms should disqualify any nation from participation in international sporting events.
The thing that stood out to me, the only thing that separated these two teams, was skating ability. Specifically Team USA had some incredible defensemen skaters, which is rare in juniors. Seemed like it was easy to transition to offense and they were never under pressure with the puck. Hard for Sweden to get anything going when you can't take the puck off any USA player.
As an 51 year old American hockey nut i want to say a big thank you to the man 15 years ago started building this program from the bottom up i don't think he is alive anymore so if someone from his family sees this what a legacy he left thank you from all of us nuts here
Steve Miller the assistant coach for USA...absolute legend. David Carle's stock continues to skyrocket as a coach. Only a matter of time before the NHL is calling.
Does Carle really want to uproot his life and go to the NHL to get fired in a few years? Life seems better in college hockey. Not as much money, but far more stability for your family.
Swedes had so many hot chanses. The way hockey is very small details that change a game. They reviewd the high sticki g on american but not the swede tha got the high stick 15 minutes earlier Swedes puck possession 80%. Great games!
@@user-gk7ri1em4x we all see from our own perspective, but clearly USA was the better team as they won. But that doesn't take away the fact that it was a close hockey game up untill the last 15 minutes or so, both teams played well and had their chances. USA scored more goals and won.
I'll take that last goal as an example. It was an empty net. But the player decided to pass to make sure that his team won. It was definitely a case with this team that the name on the front of the jersey was way more important than the name on the back
@@kenneththorberg6914 just an observation buddy these guys are 17-21. Most of the players I played with around that age would have shot at the empty net
USA deserved the victory. They were the best team in this tournament and won all of their matches. It was beautiful playing. Congrats USA from Finland 🇫🇮 PS. Sweden also did amazing job, congrats to them also
