The sweater is beautiful and it was knitted with love and a good heart. Sometimes you discover something or someone is not who you thought they were. Now you know who they are and don’t plan on supporting them. Wearing the sweater doesn’t support them it supports you and your talent. Keep feeling better.

Hi Jana. I hope you had a nice Christmas with your husband, children and Mom. I had a nice Christmas with my daughter, three grandchildren, and son-in-law. I wish you and your family good health and all the best in the New Year 2024 and ALWAYS. You look beautiful with all the knits you have made and are making. I am knitting a wool scarf with an easy pattern of one row in multiples of 4 plus 2 stitches. It goes like this: K2, K1 from the back and P1 and that is it. I am making it in 50 stitches and 60” long. It is for a gentleman acquaintance that works for the City of Raleigh. It is in wool in olive green as he wanted, and I am almost half way along. It is fun to knit. I am also knitting in stocking knit a sleeveless top in Rios Lettuce color for my 18 year old granddaughter. I have a long way to work on that. Take Care. 😊

I am sad to hear that your son is not feeling well. I hope that they can do some additional tests to find out what is going on. I just want your whole family to be over the sicknesses before Christmas Eve. 💡The textures on the scarf are so interesting. Now that you mentioned Mrs. Claus she will come to mind whenever you show it. 🙂The wood burning stove was such a great purchase. I love seeing it in your videos. Thinking of you with that stove in the middle of the snowy forest is so comforting.❄🎄❤

I think it is a commercial Swiss yarn company. Their name is also the Dutch word for tall. I just looked up the project on Jana's page on Ravelry to see the producer of the mohair. It is a good thing I know now, because this brand is stocked a lot in the Netherlands @ameliasindoorgarden776

Ooh...the Polesdwn shawl looks so fun! I love the contrasts. 🙏 your week settles down & health issues all resolved soon. I finally have the credit decorated, and all the candles and Christmas linens/towels out so it's feeling like holidays. But temps are still warm; not much less than 0 C in morning, and 40s F during the day. It's not Christmas weather like I remember as a kid. 😢

Jana, the Love Note sweater is so pretty. Why not find another similar yarn, from a GOOD source, knit it again and then dispose of the one you're wearing. I think you will feel more comfortable wearing another one. xx

Pray you and you son feel better. The Vlogmas yarns and fiber are lovely. The yarn you showed in your shop is so pretty. Love when you show us your shop. Your sweater is perfect for your dresses, the color is very nice, you made it before the people in the company showed that they are ignorant to the what the Russians are doing. I pray they wake up, but I will never buy from them. My tablet keeps changing my words. Your scarf is also so very pretty. And your red dress, I really want to see you in it, you will look wonderful in that color red. Get some rest, we will be here when you get time to share with us, it needs to be on your time not ours. Life goes way to fast, enjoy your time with your family. Remember to bring coffee to the shop.

Really gross about that yarn company. The associations can be so powerful. I had a similar experience with a small yarn company here in the U.S. I really loved their yarns because they were producing the wool themselves and it was a low carbon footprint, but early on in the pandemic they sent out a disgusting email to their customers filled with racist anti-Chinese rhetoric. It actually made me nauseous. After that, every time I even looked at the beautiful colorwork mittens I had knitted in that yarn it made me feel terrible. If it had been my my own mittens I would probably have donated, but I had made them for my daughter.

No one but you will know what yarn it is. I would neutralize it by embroidering a little Ukrainian flag in side the back. Then every time you go to put it on the Ukrainian flag will show you which way it goes on.

There’s a company in usa that donates their seconds to abortion. I can’t go there. It’s real expensive and I had to undo a jumper and bin that yarn. I have 3 more and don’t know what to do. Certainly won’t be used.

I have had that feeling sometimes when I've bought something and then later the brand does something that doesn't align with my values, and I feel really bad for having previously supported them. But I think at the end of the day, you didn't know that about them at the time that you gave them your money, and if you no longer support them, getting rid of your yarn or sweater isn't going to change the situation. If it makes you feel icky, then donate it - someone would be thrilled to get a beautiful hand-knitted sweater from a charity shop. Otherwise I think it's fine to keep wearing it, and as you did in the video, just say the yarn is from a dyer I no longer support.
