Heippa hei! This is a simple podcast for Finnish learners. I cover topics that are useful in everyday life, such as greetings, introductions, and asking "how are you". I have an emphasis on spoken Finnish, puhekieli - it's the language that native Finns use! Some episodes focus entirely on differences between written Finnish and spoken Finnish, while others talk about a specific situation, such as shopping groceries or meeting a new person. I hope you find this useful! 💙
Subtitles in Finnish are available. RU-vid provides an automatic English translation that you can select in the CC settings. I encourage you to try and listen without any subtitles once you feel comfortable doing so! Maybe you need subtitles at first, but the second time around you could do without.
