Actually if I remember correctly simo said he “preferred” iron sights, that doesn’t mean he NEVER used one. I haven’t read his book though, just watching an old interview and what I’ve heard from gun Jesus Ian . I liked this video, for everyone that has a problem, just imagine it’s a different Finnish sniper.
completely unrealistic scenery - Simo Häyhä never used a scope, with open/iron sights a sniper doesn't need to raise his head as much, they don't fog up in winter conditions and you are ready to shoot faster. And in Finland there are mostly dense forests of conifers, so he didn't need a scope for long shots, most of his killings were at 50-200m (150-600ft).
Ah yes, the Legendary Finland sniper kill 500 Soviet army with "Iron sights" no scope, thats what make simo hayha be the Legendary sniper (but I can understand because this is just a game and not everyone can shoot remotely without a scope)
The video itself is not bad, but quite a few things are wrong, Simo didnt use a scope, he fired from a sitting position and the finnish landscape was much more forested and the trees were mostly spruce and pine which dont drop their needles in the winter, he was almost never shot at because he hid himself so well.
Bruh he never almost used scopes the first time he killed a enemy without a sight was a sniper that enter very far into finnish defense lines he took a rifle and just shot randomly and that bullet hit the russian's brain
What occupation are you writing about? This is the confrontation between the Finnish separatists and the Soviet regime. The Soviet-Finnish war is a prolonged continuation of the civil war, after the military coup in Russia in 1917. Sad story. The Russians created the Finnish nation, and then friends became enemies.
