Well, when you reacted to Can Kırıkları, I recommended this song with the side note "it's the most Floor Jansen performance of her". During those 10 months I'd given up hope, so this was a nice surprise. And today is my birthday. So thanks for the present. Great reaction as always.

The song, from a woman's pov, is to give a piece of her mind. Delgeç is the regular stationery item to punch holes in paper so you can put them in a folder, but it's also a homonym for "put a hole in/pierce through" when used as an imperative. So it says, "I know it already, you'll pierce through me [or, put a hole in my soul], too, I got used to rough sailing anyway, so come on, don't get iffy, let's get on with it." So it dares the person of interest with strongwomanship. It speaks out frustration and relationship troubles well, particularly to young women. Lyrics, singing, and stage personality matched the era, 2000s TR, so she had quite a bit of mainstream popularity, though she was a performer since the 90s. Turkish rock scene is like a dolphin, once again submerged into deep waters in the last decade.

It’s like all the musicians plus the arrangement wove a magic carpet of sound from so many-coulored yarns. There is a really litle metal/rock enviroment in Turkey, so as a queen of rock in Turkey, Şebnem Ferah really important to us. What Marco Hietala means to Finland, Şebnem Ferah is the same to metal music fans in Turkey. So thank you for this reaction

Her main song is "Sil Baştan". I think you should react to it if you ever want to react to her again. Her other famous songs are "kalbim mezar" and "od". "Od" is also one of the main ones and it is also the name of her album. ❤️‍🔥

Bizim için Şebnem Ferah'ı övmeye kelimeler yetmiyor. Yıllardır ona hayranlığımız tükenmiyor. Türkiye'de bir benzeri daha görülmedi. Dünyada bile benzeri olduğunu sanmıyorum. Arka arkaya ve bitmek bilmeyen "tren halinde" muazzam bir vokal maratonu görmek çok zordur. Öte yandan sizin harika analiz yeteneğiniz ile şarkının içerisindeki ses kontrolü hakkında bilgiler alıyorum. Harika analizleriniz için teşekkürler.

What makes her special for me is her ability to convey the emotions that the lyrics carry. Even though you didn't understand them, you correctly discerned the frustration this song packs. The lyrics go from how hard and frustrating life is, and then turn into issuing a challenge to an emotional adversary, daring them to hit her even harder, as she is used to being down.

Your pronunciation on Delgeç was actually spot-on. However, the 'Ş' in Turkish is really a 'Sh'-consonant, so her name is pronounced Shebnem. 🙂 Wow, she's a real live wire, isn't she? Hello Anna. I've watched dozens of reaction videos by Charismatic Voice and Daily Doug, I've had fun and learned a lot. Then last week, I saw you on RU-vid for the first time. And I became a big fan of yours, and I'm recommending you to my friends.🍀 I've watched many of your reaction videos, including those for Şebnem Ferah, Cem Adrian, AC/DC, and Pantera. Since Finnish and Turkish are from the same language group, your Turkish pronunciations are mostly correct (except for Cem, which is pronounced like "gem" in English 😊). Anyway, I don't want to go on too long. I recommend Hayko Cepkin's song "Aşk Kitabı." It will be very entertaining for you. (It can be the concert version, but in the video version, he does a duet with one of Turkey's most powerful female vocalists, Nilüfer. The choice is yours 😊).
