I need to thank my boy John for this beautiful Google Sheet Tracker that pulls all the information finviz provides you with! This is a great way to pull all the fundamentals of a stock including the description of the company and technical analysis. My favorite part about this tracker is you no longer need to deal with all the annoying ads that are on finviz!

***FINVIZ UPDATE*** In the video I'm pulling from table 8 but now it is table 9 you need to pull from. And for the company name, it is table 7.

The pulled data only seems to want to show as text (I've tried formatting the cells to be numbers but doesnt seem to work) I'd like to do conditional formatting, especially with PEG ratio.

For some reason I can't get "table"6 work, I have tried table 4 thru 20 and been getting #ref errors. I'm sure finviz made some changes but unable to figure it out. Would someone be able to help me out?

Never mind Figured out my issue, I missed the t after ashx? and over looked it. Table 6 no longer works and now pulling from table 5.

I'm getting "*-*" in many cells such as the Index cell. Also, for the cells that I can scrape, it's bracketed with asterisks, e.g. "*15.62B*" in the Market Cap cell. Perhaps Finviz is making changes to stop people from scraping their data for free?

The "*" symbols bold the data in the Finviz website. They are not trying to prevent scraping. You need to use the SUBSTITUTE function which is used in the video to replace the "*" with blank spaces ("").

Instead of using the row and column numbers and then manually updating them, you could have used the Row() and Column() functions to return numbers. So using Row()-3, Column() would return 1,2 then you could just drag that down and not need to manually change the numbers.
