on Carson Daly, 20 June 2006. He gives her a signed sketch by Peter Falk, she is very excited. Here's her performance of EM: • Fiona Apple, Extraordi...
I remember going to this taping!! I was in the 2nd row right in front of the stage and minutes before they started filming i saw Fiona pop her head out from behind the curtains, her head tilted to the right with her long wavy hair falling towards the ground. I'll never forget this moment 😁❤️
What a wonderful person she is, just the sweetest thing ever. Thanks Fiona for writing this amazing album, and thanks to the Free Fiona movement for getting out there for all of us to treasure!
Those people fought for this album cuz fionna apple is maybe one of the 5 best songwriters of my generation (I graduated high school in 2001). Not releasing an album an that fiona created would be a huge loss to human kind.
For any other Columb fans who are unaware of its existence, there is a must-see utube video of Peter F. "roasting" Sinatra as Columbo - one of the most hilarious few minutes around. How he stays in character w/o breaking up, I'll never know. Their shared affinity for raincoats starts things off ( he even brings Frank a homemade lasagna w/ an enclosed return address, so the pan can be dropped in the mailbox). Genious.
today it's a great day for me ...i've found a lot fo new videos about my favourite singer/songwriter by far!! and i want to say thanks for sharing this. i like this interview, she seems very happy. i read about her passion for Colombo but see her eyes when she looks at signed sketch by Peter Falk is...priceless :) thanks storytellerslie ... and thanks to Fiona everytime!!
@@SuperJasonGold when she came out in the beginning of her career with Tidal and When the Pawn she had a massive eating disorder problem and was REALLY SKINNY, very unhealthily skinny. I thought the same thing too, damn she looks great and so healthy.
You gotta have big time self esteem to make it in the music business. By the way, I love Columbo too. Theory: I think Fiona likes Columbo because he is kind of like her, quirky, a misfit, doesn’t take himself too seriously, is often underestimated, but very good at their chosen art/profession. Columbo is great for the reasons I previously mentioned, which makes him human with flaws and relatable.
Carson sucks at...everything apparently. It's so funny to think this was only 5/6 years after When the pawn. At the time it felt like an eternity between albums, even with the Brion leak. Kinda looks tame with the gap between EM and Idler wheel and now.
Free Fiona did for music what the Kuwaiti People did for the Middle East in the late-80s/early-90s. They took money out of the situation and worked from their hearts. We have all those songs, now, we have all that oil.
Carson is so wack, he always tries to talk down about other people 😷 It was a really nice gesture from Peter to give the gift to her but of course he had to be annoying and SALTY
