i love your voice fionn. it reminds me of home. i listened to this song on repeat as i took a train up through the scottish countryside over the summer. All i see are the soft hills and stunning landscapes of scotland.
I used to show this video to my sound engineering classes to help explain background noise, echo and tone, which we don't notice most of the time: I'm not sure the kids always got what I was talking about 🙁
SERIOUSLY??? this only got 3 comments??? This video is brilliant! Great song too! I saw the "Be Good Or Be Gone" quote on a sign in McSorely's pub in the village. That's one of my favorite spots in NYC. Glad I found it in a song. Good stuff. I'm def checking out more of his music.

Memories. Elevators- futuristic, exciting rides. Warehouses, where a constructor would give me a pastry if I was quiet. Churches - Notre Dame, hushed and ethereal where you lit candles with strangers. The ocean - I dropped my scarf in it once and used to imagine it floating forever at the bottom. Parking lots-late at night you could shout and laugh and no one would hear the echoes. Swimming pools-warping your voice, you're aquatic. Libraries to bury in fantasy. Streams - is that a glint of gold?
i find myself forgetting all those songs i had on my windows 98 limewire in my parents basement on dial up!! but this one i never forget!! (even my mom likes it...)
Sometimes an artist will try something different to add a new dimension to their art. Sometimes it's a change that some who enjoy that art will find enhances the artwork, some who didn't really like the piece of art find they now love it, it's swings n roundabouts in spades. However, if you take gigs in a pub as an example, and take the noises of the pub as, "augmentation of the art-work that the band do", nobody in the pub who's there to listen to that band, will ever tell you that they really appreciated the the complex overlay of a band they love to hear, enhanced by the unaware people with so little appreciation for musicians that they think everyone within a 20 meter radius would be much happier if they could only hear the inanity of shouted chatter, from over-drunken, overly self-absorbed, narcissists, banging on about the latest ordinary thing they did that day. Tunes are beautiful to us because they have musical structure. This is an aesthetics thing, but instead of being applied to physical shape and proportion, it is applied to the timing, lilting, shifting rhythm that is in turn revealing to us the beauty of ratio and proportion, of pitch and tone, inherent within the underlying mathematical structure of music, and just occasionally because a real genius sees ways to excite the listener by breaking those rules. Random noises made by trucks thundering past and drowning out all sense of the tune, is not art. It is however, ridiculously annoying!!! If you want people to listen to your beautiful song, please ditch the div who made this video for you. It is just dire, and if someone says that they do like it, buy them some new batteries for their ear-piece. If they still like it, they are a long way away from normal, and represent about 2 people out of about the total number of all music lovers, i.e. approximately 2 people in 6 billion
So... In youtube statistics, for every 1 million people who have listened to 'Bad Romance' by Lady Gaga, there is one person who listened to this song. Man, that saddens me.
