DISCLAIMER
I would not advise anybody to enter a building whist the fire alarm is sounding. I used to be a fire cadet so I'm well aware of the dangers of fire and if I was in any doubt about my personal safety, I would not of gone inside. I only went inside very briefly as seen on the video.

I was about to get the train back home from Preston when I noticed that a fire alarm was going off; it turned out be coming from the station car park. Despite the alarms going off, people were still going in and out of the car park as if nothing was happening; the sounders were set really loud too and the lifts had been recalled as can be seen on the video. The repeater panel said that the alarm originated from 'Roof level outer lift shaft', obviously somewhere not easily accessible which I assume is the reason why the fire brigade attended. This particular system was an Hochiki ESP addressable system with Kentec Syncro fire panels
Also apologies for the shaky video. I didn't have my gimbal camera with me as I was on my way home from Uni.
