A nursing home near my house uses the chime only version of these for the nurse call system. Every time that I have been there they have gone off at least once.
@@nics-systems-electricYeah, it has 9 and 10, which are both labeled as 1 chime high for some reason. The manual says not to use 10 but 9 is just 1 chime.
I’ve mostly seen these in the Uk used for general notification of things often in shopping centre detectors for stolen goods near the exits. Often with green strobes. They are often set to code 3 which is the default tone for robbery in place.
Interesting facts about this video 1. It's really interesting how you told us on what exactly dies a chine strobe do in a private mode setting as it allows for trained staff throughout the building to respond to the alarm and locate where it is as it's kinda like how it will be for the System Sensor LED L-series's or Wheelock Eluxa's code-4 Carbon Monoxide tone as the trained staff can recognize the distinctive difference of code-3 (fire) and code-4 (Carbon Monoxide) to respond to that type of emergency in a building where there is a potential for a Carbon Monoxide leak 2. 12:09 The strange strobe behavior is definitely a sign that they must've made a manufacturing error of this device as this device of the date code: 1061 as it looks like the strobe flashes 4 times and then the next second there's no flash and repeats this weird pattern 3. 12:41 Whoop, there it is! 4. 13:15 I like how it made a funny sound when it got silenced on it's whoop setting 5. Data sheet tone and volume selections of Chimes and horns @ 10 feet: Whoop high: 80 dB Whoop low: 65 dB Chime high: 70 dB Chime low: 60 dB Horn high: 90 dB Horn low: 85 dB 6. 15:18 The 3K setting is actually at the same loudness level just like the horn tones
The whoop one is similiar to what is used in the netherlands on a fire system alarm. Cant remember i heard something else, besides maybe its higher pitched or lower pitched
I'm guessing you are referring to the LED on the module inside the pull station. Firelite only run clip and litespeed protocols neither of which will poll green that is something notifier onyx series does. Amount of devices on the system will affect how quickly it polls
@@nics-systems-electric ahh, so im guessing with more devices, it polls slower because there are more devices to cover but with less devices, it goes really fast. is that right?
FYI there is no coded option for 9 but rather a one chime option, it literally makes one singular chime and doesn’t sound until it is put into alarm again.
We use them in the School that I work at, we have kids that have special needs and they don't like the noise of the horn strobes so we have 2 campuses that have the chime strobes and the other 2 campuses have horn strobes
I do think system sensor classic series are ugly it was in a movie theater i went to and i was like WHAT THE HECK IS THAT and also found one of the advance series in red
There's another RU-vidr already doing that and the problem is is you get lots of people that don't know what a fail actually is and sending things that are completely legal
