Thanks again brother for what you do. My personal response vehicle is an Cadillac Escalade ESV. I have white and red visor lights on that. Nice to see fellow firefighters responding with due regard nowadays.
AWESOME VIDEO cant decide what sounds cooler the sirens or the bad a$$ diesel engine roaring. Those wheels remind me of my Mud Grapplers going down the road. Great POV stay safe out there and Thank You for what You do Sir.
@@benmeyer2916 judging by the hood I’d say late 2000’s General Motors (Chevy or gmc) and sounds like a 6.0 vortec. I drive a Tahoe with a 5.3 and it doesn’t sound that deep (even with an exhaust upgrade)
so i was looking up some volunteer firefighters responding videos and i didn't know i would end up just finding a fellow member around madisonville lol didn't know some recorded their responding. love the vid
@A Ape Named Paul Paul, it depends on the department if they have a sop of recording responses.where im at, we have an sop which all videos must go through our board of directors. I record as i go on calls for my insurance company if i get hit.
Dang nice video man, really enjoy the content. I'm new here. Sucks you got disregarded and had to standby at station. I feel that I am a volunteer firefighter in my county and I'm probationary fot a year.
I have the 47' multicolor Linear Kforce and things bright af I love it. I use federal signal siren tho. Speedtwcu sirens sound weird and aren't nearly loud enough imo
What vehicle do you drive? It sounds like a V8 of some sort. Like the siren too, very high pitched. I actually never heard a siren like that before. Really nice.
Man what I can tell here you sure get a lots of calls at night time but yeah I'm gonna reply for the volunteer firefighter here in minnesota this up comming fall because pretty sure that is when they are hiring so I want to do that because I care so much about the community and also helping as well so yeah and I'm only 17 can here in minnesota you can be a volunteer firefighter from 16 to 18 so that is good so yeah that is what I want to do and that means I can skip school if I can a call from the pager because I want a pager when Im a volunteer firefighter so yeah but yeah who know see what happnes but first I got to force on working at walmart and yeah and get a ID then a call or a truck and yeah so yeah but one day at a time anyway good job on the video man.
You definitely should add side lighting to your POV not sure on your state laws for lighting but I know here it has to be 360 also no lights on sides can be dangerous because those vehicles coming from the sides have no idea your responding untill they are already passing you up in an intersection due to the angle of sound travel on the siren it’s hard to tell where it’s coming from people today are so distracted with other things on the road so they don’t even yield while your behind them occasionally unfortunately
Definitely understand that the price you have to pay to outfit with lights is insane well can be I run an old whelen 12m strobe how do you like that stl siren videos do no justice would you compare it to a higher end on how loud it is and the quality of the tones I know the old ones sounded like an old Nintendo game lol
