Wow! Thats so great to see someone Responding through somewhere I used to live. I've got family in Mount Washington and I was a volunteer in Grayson County. Stay safe and appreciate everything you do brother!
For your POV Did you have to build a custom Control box for all your light switches and siren tones to fit your car just curious cuz I am thinking of becoming a volunteer firefighter in eaither the state I live in which is NJ or in North Carolina, Kentucky or Rhode Island
I have a question 4 u if you're driving on the freeway r u still supposed 2 pull over and stop 4 emergency vehicles running code 3 because in the state of Oregon I was trying 2 slow down and pull over 4 the state trooper that only had his Red and blue lights flashing and I was streading in between the emergency lane and the slow right lane and I slowed down 2 around 30mph when our freeway speed limit is 65mph 4 semi trucks the speed limit 4 them is 60mph because a 2nd trooper got behind me in the fast lane and yelled at me through the pa system saying next time don't pull on 2 the emergency lane it's 4 emergencie vehicles only so I'm wondering was I in the wrong or was the 2 nd state trooper wrong from southern Oregon have a good day from one former volunteer fire fighter 2 another I used 2 be a fire fighter in Williams Oregon
Damn, bad timing mate. Good luck with getting it fixed though! And are you planning on getting a rumbler or just sticking with the 3 sirens? (Which sound badass LOL)
How many miles was it from the place your began your response to the place where the call was? I’m an assistant chief and non of my officers run any color lights. The chief has a company owned command vehicle but the deputies and assistant chiefs do not run any lights at all.
All memebers are allowed to run reds and sirens on the state of KY. We have limited restrictions on running code. Drive with due regard. I responded from so far out due to low numbers on member response that time of day
911ep500 We don’t even run emergency to CO calls unless it’s dispatched with patients. We also don’t respond to trees down or flooded basements. We respond NON emergency to vehicle accidents with no injuries for traffic control and emergency to vehicle accidents with injuries. I’m a veteran firefighter with 35 years. I’m also a state and pro board instructor. My department is responds to approximately 900 calls a year. Our township has 12 stations and 44000 residents. We run 2 engines a rescue and a truck on all residential AFA or fire call and 4 engines 2 rescue and 2 trucks on all commercial structures. We are fortunate to have good volunteer staffing. My station has a heavy rescue an engine and a service truck. The chief has a command truck.
911ep500 I am very sorry that you found my question so funny. But here in Germany the motorway limit is unlimited - for every car. The german traffic law (StVO) says 130 km/h (81.25 miph), but most cars can drive 200 km/h (125 miph). Sometimes a sign says different speed - but emercency vehicle can drive fast as they can. In Thailand they have no limits for emercency cars too. The normal speed limit at the motorway for cars are 120 km/h (75 miph) for lorries are 100 km/h (62.5 miph). Take care and thanks again for your videos!
OldLord, lol is not to be taken so literally in the US. It doesn't necessarily mean he thought your comment was funny or not serious, hope that clarifies. :)
No, it does mean that, but in the US we do not always emphasize the meaning of text abbreviations when we say them, it's more of a cultural thing you have to get used to then actual grammar. lol is indeed short for laugh out loud, it's just isn't always used explicitly for funny things, it can be a filler word in conversation, and that can be very hard to detect so I don't blame you for thinking that he thought your comment was funny. You really have to get used to how some of these words and text abbreviations are not meant literally always.
Tree that struct powerlines that were also live in the middle of a residential street. Yeah. Non emergency until someone's kid gets zapped and dies... Thanks RU-vid fire fighter for your service and job advise
