ALL FIRE EMBLEM INTROS! From the first game way back in 1990, check out all the intros to the famous Fire Emblem series from Nintendo! Marth, Ike and Lucina are just a few of the game's historical heroes!
Denzu Silvery No, you can have red[Roy, Celica and Eliwood], green[Alm, Lyndis, and (I think) Ephraim and Eirika], brown[Leif], or white hair[Miciah, Robin and Kamui]. This is not including TRS, with brown[Runan] and blonde[Holmes]
+LURKING SHADOWS hypothetically, the humans battling on the ground are Fire Emblem and/or Code Name: STEAM characters. Only The Fire Emblem Amiibo work in Code Name Steam for a reason.
I wish I played these games earlier. When I played awakening (my first FE game) against some of those historical characters in the outworld I had no idea there was a connection. It makes me want to know the backstory behind those older characters.
So how did you not know who marth was (theres 8 different marths in smash) marth, fire marth, buff marth, magic marth, girl magic marth, girl marth, dragon marth and girl dragon marth
+sokarash what sucks is that the very first fire emblem game is on 3ds virtual console but only in Japan and all we have on Wii u eshop is sacred stones but jfc I want the first 6 games to be localized like seriously Nintendo fire emblem is popular give us the first 6 games
Game Bros. I don't know why hate is being spread towards it, maybe because it was split into three games. I think it could've been like both paths in one game and you buy the third path for an additional 40 and maybe less hate but ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
"Buying one version with 2 path and another one with the third path for an additional 40" would be 80, which is also the price of the three games combined because you can by the 2 other paths half price when you own one.
I love it! (Maybe just a bit less than Awakening cuz that was my first but...) I'm currently playing through Revelations right now! Many secrets revealed!
Thats pretty funny Im looking forward to the mostly because I didnt really set expectations because I didnt know what to expect even though it was originally called SMT X FE what most people were expecting seemed too obvious I see elements of FE and SMT in Genei Ibun Roku #FE (thats a pain to type) but its more of a kingdom hearts thing where it became its own thing
Natsumi Raimon path of radiance is thefirst game where the series jumped from pixel sprites to 3d character models. awakening mixed both and so is fates now.
Watching the Sacred Stones opening really takes me back. It was my first Fire Emblem game ever. And the Awakening and Fates trailer also gave me the chills. Damn.
Believe me, I've played my fair share of awakening, (100+), but I still believe that awakening holds a lot of quirks that sacred stones didn't have. Don't get me wrong, both games are phenomenal, but I still prefer awakening.
Ah, that contrast to Radiant Dawn's opening. I know I'm biased but RD will always be my favorite of the franchise, and I love the opening and cutscenes so much in that one even if they are short.
NE OC I'm talking about the person /people who made the video. The opening scene is ext3nded, with portraits of the greil mercinaries and two scenes with Ike. They were probably not there to prevent spoilers of the near-end of the story. Or the person didn't complete the game.
Lord Tullus 9 I know, but my comment was stating that I wouldn't have known if the intro of Radiant Dawn was missing something. I've got to see and compare now :/
I want to argue against, but I genuinely enjoyed the Tellius series far more than everything else. With Sacred Stones and Genealogy being the other two I really enjoyed.
Fire emblem x Shin Megami Tensei isnt part of fire emblem series, because that is a spin-off crossover game like hyrule warriors(as zelda x dynasty warriors), right,no?
I played Sacred Stones, Path To Radiance, Radiant Dawn, Awakening, and finally fates. My love for this game was sparked by Sacred Stones and has continued to the latest game today. Fire Emblem is love!!!
Please don't ever call that a Shin Megami Tensei either! Even Atlus wanted it to have nothing related to SMT after Nintendo told them no on a actual Crossover. SMT has you fighting demons and gods with Dante from Devil May Cry playing a role in the third game.
it was fun, cringey in alot of ways, a stand alone game, good gameplay. Worth playing, and it has the fire emblem theme with lyrics, opera of the light. Yr still able to change classes, has a lord, pegasus knight, cavalier, mage, archer, knight and a swordmaster. Dont look at it as a fe game cause its totally different and brings dissapointment if u do.
I honestly have mixed feelings about the new FE. Fire Emblem has always felt like the closest video game I've seen to a simplified and interactive Game of Thrones/ASOIAF. It took place in a Medieval world with complex political alliances between a series of warring kingdoms, each with its own line of rule (and its own unique hair color). There was a limited use of magic, some ancient evil power, a strong use of drama and tragedy, a strong reliance on Medieval English history, and a couple of dragons to throw into the mix. Besides the use of teenagers as protagonists, and the oddly colored hair (both of which are in the Ice and Fire books), the use of anime cliches was pretty limited. The new game seems to introduce a new Japanese focus (or Weeaboo pandering), unrealistic and exaggerated hair styles, odd skin colors, random monsters, and black-and-white heroes and villains all of which seem to scream anime. But I am a HUGE fan of the FE series and I very much like the ability for customization and choices in the game, a feature the series always lacked so I'm still excited. I just hope FE remembers its history, and not just Awakening's sales.
Thanks! I feel pretty much the same way. I mean I'm happy on one hand that awakening did exactly as the name suggests, revitalizing the series and bringing new fans, but the things I hear about the new game give me the same nagging feeling you describe. I don't mind optional features like Casual Mode or even the new "phoenix mode" since they aren't forced upon us, but some of the other gameplay and stylistic choices seem to be heading in an odd direction. Supposedly they're bringing back the marriage and children feature and adding more fanservice like some of Awakening's DLC. At the very least I'll probably buy the Nohr version since it seems closer to the style and depth of older FE games. Maybe, if that version proves more popular, it will show the success of the traditional formula and bring back the sort of complex and interesting themes that Fire Emblem offers.
I bought a 3DS for Awakening too! No regrets. Still don't have a Wii U though. I'm pretty sure they said they're splitting the new game up into two games in the U.S. also unfortunately. I think from what they said, they made it seem like the Nohr version is more complex and deeper so I'm probably leaning towards that but I definitely also really hate how they might really split it up. I also heard that the children in the game are going to be explained by some kind of inter-dimensional travelling. Not really sure what that means, but it sounds a little weird. I think my favorite FE was probably Path of Radiance. It was kind of the perfect balance between a pretty good storyline and the quirky fun characters that are always in Fire Emblem. It never got really dark but it also wasn't about pies (not that I have anything against pies of course). Still I'm definitely going to buy the new game, despite the complaining. I think some of the features are still pretty cool and it looks like the storyline might be good. And you're right. They do have feet, so that's definitely a plus We'll see where Fire Emblem goes in the future, but I'm definitely still happy it's around. Awakening did bring it back to life, even if it's not exactly how we remember it and as long as it doesn't stray too much further, I'll still consider myself a fan.
The Radiant Dawn one is easily the most exciting and intense, especially once you unlock the full version of it after beating the game, which this video doesn't show.
My rankings on Fire Emblem games 15. Dark Dragon and Sword of Light 14: Shadow Dragons 13: Awakening 12: FE Fates: Birthright 11: Radiant Dawn 10: Mystery of the Emblem 9: New Mystery of the Emblem 8: Gaiden 7: Path of Radiance 6: Blazing Sword 5: FE Fates: Conquest 4: Sacred Stones 3: Thracia 776 2: Binding Blade 1: Genealogy of the Holy War
Hot, Tbh Conquest just torches Birthright in map design and difficulty. There was only a handful of maps that I liked in Birthright, even if Conquest's story is trash.
+Tizi I know this comment is a little old, but FE3 Mystery of the Emblem is also one of the best, and is my personal favorite with regards to lore and storytelling.
Shera Wizard don't worry it's Better and have similar story, most audience came with the 7 th game The 13 th arguably ruined the game And more similarities, just can't name them off my head
I'd like to assume that you're talking about Final Fantasy, in that regard I've been playing FF from the first game and I sorta stopped with 12 because I didn't have the console for 13. FF isn't my favorite franchise but even I have heard as much about 13. 15 is doing pretty good tho If you aren't talking about FF... I'm so sorry I haven't played Awakening yet (FE13) so i can't say xD
I just feel like pointing out, the Radiant Dawn opening shown here isn't the full one. More scenes involving Ike are added once you've reached part 3 of the game.
You skipped out a lot though You missed: Fire Emblem - Shadow Dragon Fire Emblem - Heroes of Light and Shadow Fire Emblem Thracia 776 You have WRONG footage: That is the Fire Emblem IF/Fate TRAILER,not Intro (18:30) This is also just a trailer (20:28)
he dont have sacred stones, and yes, it is the trailer, he should use the hoshido intro (birthright) then the nohr intro (birthright) then revalations (revalations)
Tenacious Twizz I know. I could've sworn that the game was out in Japan already by then (since Japan always seems to get games WAAAAAY before the west)....
princereyson I like The Shadow Dragón Remake for the DS and the Fire Emblem New Mystery of the Emblem Heroes of Light and Shadow that was my favorite Fire Emblem when i was a kid
My favorites will always be Fire Emblem 2002, 2003-2004 and 2004-2005 on GBA. Through them, I just discovered as a kid one of the greatest game series of all time. And nothing will replace them, even tough Fire Emblem Fates is perhaps more similar to them if compared to the other editions released afterwards.
Honestly so much hate torwards Fire Emblem Tokyo Mirage, i know its different, but it's actually still a fun game with a more modern twist and differences, like i enjoyed playing it and listening to the catchy songs and it still had Fire emblem elements in it too so yeah
Luka Megurine What do you mean too anime generic? The artstyle isn't even close to the considered generic anime look. Even so, I'm assuming something like this would satisfy you? URL's satoshikura.deviantart.com/art/Robin-GBA-Fire-Emblem-Portrait-489653129
Luka Megurine The artstyle in Awakening and If isn't any different than any of the others throughout the series. Fire Emblem has *always* looked "anime" because that's just the artstyle people in Japan and Asia use...just like how American or Western cartoons often have very similar styles. Awakening didn't change how the series looked, of course things will look rather different translating from 2D to 3D, but the style is still the same. Especially if you compare Awakening and If to the *other* two 3D games with fully animated cutscenes (Path of Radiance and Radiant Dawn). Those two are the closest lookalikes to the newest two, but the overall style throughout the whole series has been uniform and had the "too anime generic and weeaboo" you're complaining about now.
8elementallords Awakening does look different from prior FE games. It looks similar to generic modern anime while previous games had a generic retro anime design, with the exception of Shadow Dragon, which was given a somewhat more unique look.
alby ron It all still looks like anime though, and it really *hasn't* changed in terms of how everything actually looks, the only difference is the specific anime style, and even the Gameboy or Tellius games are drawn in a different anime style from the first games. The only difference has been that the series has been drawn in the specific anime styles of the time that they've been released, Tellius, Awakening, and Fates are all drawn in a much more modern anime style because they're the modern games (and those three games are *also* the most similar in terms of how they look). Aside from the stylistic differences of the era they were drawn in, the actual style of Fire Emblem itself and sort of clothes and so forth that people wear in the series hasn't been changed with the newer games
Played since awakening and I am TOO hyped for the new one, the gimmick on choices in the game seems real and gives it some replay value to choose the opposite choice you made which is cool
+Raylene Hernandez Same ahah that was my first fire emblem, after that I played sacred stone on GBA, path of radiance on Gamecube, Radian Dawn on the wii & awakening. FIRE EMBLEM IS LIFE!
I'm sorry, but the last one *is* Fire Emblem, right? RIGHT?! BECAUSE IT JUST LOOKS LIKE AN INTRO TO A WEIRD ANIME OR SOMETHING I'M SORRY *edit* Alright, so I've been looking at Fire Emblem games lately. The game's called Tokyo Mirage Sessions #FE and it's apparently a crossover Megami Tensei and Fire Emblem, which makes sense I guess...
Its not Fire Emblem game, the gameplay is turn-strategy-game with the weapon-triangle from Fire Emblem but a bit different, you can do chains called "sessions" between characters.
I played FE: Awakening and loved it but since this is the first game I've played from the franchise, I have this paranoia that no game will best Awakening. What game would you recommend?
+Hailian Dorado I would recommend you Fire Emblem for GBA (Blazing Sword) to be your next game. Awesome story, a lot of characters, hundreds of mods and rom hacks(if you want to mess around a bit xD). Then, once you get the hang of GBA fire emblems, then try the Sacred Stones also in the GBA. The extended classes of Sacred stones may be confusing if you are nos used to those desicions.
fire emblem fates will best awakening im on conquest and i like its similarities to previous traditional games. you have to think of every possibility and map out strategically. unlike awakening with endless grinding and rushing the enemy and Pairing UP IS OP. fates pairing up is balanced.
Fire emblem shadow Dragon is one of the worst Fire emblems To be honest in my opinion ... The best one for DS hás To be FE Heroes of light and shadow because its better and harder
My first game was Awakening which I love and now I'm on to my second Fire Emblem game Mystery of the Emblem (original) on a emulator with English dub and my favorite character in the series is Lucina.
Many connect to each other, but they are not all connected. It is dependent on what region the game takes place. Fe 1, 2, 3, 9, 12, and 13 all take place in the same universe. Fe 4 and 5 are part of the same universe. Fe 6 and 7 are of the same universe. Fe 8 is independent. Fe 10 and 11 are from the same universe.
Alan Jeria No problem. Keep in mind that the Fire Emblem is always a plot point in these games, but the Fire Emblem itself changes from each arc. In some games its an object for a ceremony, and in others its a weapon, etc.
PokemonSoldiers I'd like to see it, but I think it should take place years into the future (basically, after Ike and everyone else in the older games died of old age).
I know nothing about FE but I want to get into it, I want to know ikes, marths, roy and lucinas story. Which games should I play and which should I start with
Marth's Games are: Fire Emblem 1: Dark Dragon and the Sword of Light Fire Emblem 3: Mystery of the Emblem, a remake of 1, but also has its own game called Book 2. Fire Emblem Shadow Dragon: Another remake of Fire Emblem 1. Fire Emblem 12: New Mystery of the Emblem Hero's of Light and Shadow, a remake of Book 2 from Mystery of the Emblem.
As for game you should start with, if you want to have an easy first time, then Play Fire Emblem: Sacred Stones. It's an easy way to get into the series. If you want to know how Fire Emblem got into the west, then play the first Fire Emblem game that came to the west, Fire Emblem 7: Blazing Sword (it's also called JUST Fire Emblem).
gabe walker Actually there are some Fire Emblem characters that actually appear. They just don't look like them but they are. That dark guy that appears a little after the beginning is Chrom, the green haired girl is Tiki, that giant floating head was Gangrel, and there are some more elements. (Though I didn't see any Shin Megami Tensei characters ;_;
Ah great intros, I love Fire Emblem and I'm extremely hyped for both IF (which path to take though? Rip the decisions) and the crossover, I'm happy the crossover isn't what I expected, I'm excited to see a brand new take on FE in a modern, different styled world, it being something different is what hyped me up about it, and of course if I don't like it, it's not like I won't have IF to play as well haha, but I'm sure I'll enjoy both games!! :]
I will hate myself either way when the new one comes out. Loyalty! Cooler weapons! Obviously I'll just play it twice, but I will still find the choice miserable...
