BEST. AWAKENING. GIRL. Now before your horses become impossible for you to get a hold of let me explain why I love Cordelia so much. Appearance wise: Pros: -Red hair -Long legs -Gorgeous (in my opinion) -The color scheme of Red and White. She's like a beautiful peppermint girl. Cons: -Not a surprise but her armors design sucks. Like many other characters in Awakening the design for the armor is very questionable. That weird neck thing is the main offender. In short, it's not practical and it just looks flat out weird. Personality wise: Everybody knows that Cordelia has the hots for Chrom but she isn't exactly as one-note as some of the other characters in the game. Throughout all of her supports (to my knowledge) she goes through amazing development in terms of her unrequited love for him. She learns to grow out of it. What comes to mind is her S support with Frederick. One of the best conversations in the game in my opinion. It starts off with him somewhat teasing Cordelia about the picnic they attempted to have, then progresses into her growing out of her love for Chrom and devoting herself to Frederick instead. Not only is Cordelia known for her unrequited love though, she's also admired for her peerless skill due to the fact that she's a prodigy. Although she hates being referred to as a "genius" she also grows out of that too, specifically in her supports with the avatar (and is further developed in the S support with the male avatar). The fact that she's able to face her biggest faults and move on past them so quickly is why I love her so much. It may not be realistic but she DOES realize that unrequited love is just that. Unrequited. Being able to face reality for the better even if you don't want to is a very selfless trait of her and I can't get enough of her. I'll try to keep gameplay short since I've written way too much already. Statistics wise, obviously she gets galeforce which is a huge plus already, but she does have more well rounded stats than Sumia, and I believe that she is better by a small bit due to my personal bias but in Awakening who isn't good? Overall, Cordelia is one of my favorite characters in the entire series and She's a great example of the Catria archetype. There's the end of my waifu rambling.

Fun fact: Cordelia's unrequited love apparently goes over voice actresses, as Flora has a unrequieted love for Jakob and is voiced by the same woman. Also, she voices her own daughter. Severa = Cordelia as Teen confirm?!

I remember the first time I saw the artwork for Cordelia, I thought "Holy crap, it's Erza from Fairy Tail"

Cordelia's support with Robin was amazing, and one of my favorites of the series, and definitely of Awakening. Definitely changed up my shipping plans when I first played Awakening.

I love the fact she can use EVERY weapon type in the game, she really is Little Miss Perfect

I love these, it's my favourite series to watch on RU-vid. But a part of me misses that one relaxing piece of Awakening music you always used to use.

Thank you for giving a video that explains not only Cordelia's back story, but her character as well. A lot of Awakening Fans get the wrong idea that Cordelia's obsession with Chrom is her only trait. They really don't know that she's a perfectionist whose gifted and smart. But she doesn't view herself as such seeing how she was bullied by her fellow knights for being smart and flat chested. You know what they say, don't judge a book by it's cover.

Cordelia always feels like she is not enough. She loves Chrom and she just can’t get him. Cordelia still grows as a character. You go girl! Also imagine if she could support with Chrom

From what I hear from most people, she is an absolute power house when you get her, but then kinda drops in usefulness in the late game. In my file, maybe I just got lucky with the stat growths or its because I S-supported her or both but I don't think there's been a single instance she didn't one-shot an enemy that isn't a boss so far.

As I said before in a previous Spotlight, I would love to see a Spotlight on Camus/Zeke/Sirius! There is so much material to work with! It would be cool to have a Spotlight on him, since his story is very interesting

In case you see this Mangs, even though I will probably post this on the next spotlight, I wanna thank you and your community, with exceptions to the few responses I got which gave no input or somehow brought Camilla into this, I was able to see why people like Cordelia so much, however my view on her will remain the same. Your video was able to show me your thoughts from a statistical and an objective standpoint, while the comments allowed the subjective and opinionated standpoint. Thank you, have a Pepsi Max on me.

Finally going to buy Awakening. Am not expecting much storywise but so loved the sandboxy elements of Fates. Want more of that

honestly I like Cordelia a lot and her daughter Severa is one of my favorite child units alongside lucina because if you make sumia a dark flier you can pass galeforce to lucina and then do the same to Morgan by pairing Robin with Lucina, so any character you can pass galeforce onto is my go-to... but I also like pairing Cordelia with Donnel

I still don't understand why people say that Cordelia is a Catria expy. I mean, she more or less is presented that way, but half the cast of Shadow Dragon had unrequited crushes on someone else, and it's not like that was ever Catria's defining trait anyway A weakness worth mentioning if you're going for min-maxing is that Cordelia lacks both any offensive proc skills and +5faire skills - Stahl is typically suggested as her optimal partner as he gives both Swordfaire and Luna to Severa as well as boosting Cordelia's Attack and Defence, her weakest stats. Alternatively, Vaike or anyone else who can pass Axefaire by inheritance will greatly improve Severa's damage output as a Hero.

To me, after going through a lot of supports, she only really gets over chrom is she gets with MU, also chrom is almost never mentioned or at all if I remember right in their support convos

A great profile video for my all time favorite Fire Emblem character. Although, she is arguably the most tortured playable character in the series; she shows great resolve & adaptability as her arch develops throughout Awakening. Personally, I consider her & male Robin cannon due to their great chemistry displayed throughout their in game support conversations. Their "Summer Scramble" supports in particular are very good for her arch due to the fact that she seems to have finally forgotten about Chrom & seems to have found love & happiness w/ her true soulmate in Robin at last. Again, very cool video spotlight on the often misunderstood knight paragon. She is as thoughtfull as she is lovely & deserves more fanfare instead of being ripped for her hopeless crush on Chrom. As much as Nintendo/Intelligent Systems has attempted to curse this humble beauty from the start, she has managed to capture the hearts of many. Ti Amo Cordelia 😍😍😍
