I can explain that if you wish. Lazward (His japanese name) is Persian for Blue, and Laslow is similar to Lazuli, like the gemstone. Seeing as Azur (his Japanese name in Awakening) and Inigo are both variations of words for shades of blue, Lazward/Lazlow is a continuation of the Blue pun.

In the Japanese version, his name was Lazward. If search up the definition of Azure (his Japanese name) and look at the roots, his name goes up another tier

CyberDagger Maybe he should've spent less time on his moves and more time on his speed on his trip to Nohr. My biggest problem with his classes in Fates is that even Master Ninja only gets his speed into the 50%'s

CyberDagger I'm very sure a few supports in Fates (like Saizo) mention he seems to be toying the enemy, which could be him adding dance features into his movement. Futhermore he counts himself in sometimes if he's a supporting unit in Awakening.

Underswap Sans when you recruit him with Chrom Inigo points it out to prove that he is his son. He's the only other child to tell Chrom about their mark. I find it pretty neat

Never really said Laslow was worse, just that I think it's sad that there isn't a support of the same calibur as the Awakening one, as that specific support shows a VERY important side of his character that people will never experience if they only play Fates.

Ah gotcha, though I think Laslow gets that across pretty well passively.

Personally, I didn't like Inigo much in Awakening; while he did have some depth to his character (mostly shown in his supports with Olivia and his father), most of his supports show the more flirtatious side of his personality, while his supports with the men he could support with (of which there are 3, more than any other child unit) he's a lot more cold and dismissive towards them, and even tries to compete with 2 of them to see which one could get more girls. Laslow, on the other hand, is arguably the character from Awakening originally to appear in Fates to have matured the most; while he still often tries to flirt with girls, he'll still more often than not try to help out the other person if they have trouble with something, and is far more serious overall. He also gets to have supports with Odin, like they could in Awakening, and while the 2 of them didn't exactly get along very well in Awakening, they have become much closer friends in Fates and are able to confide in one another when they need the support. From what I can tell, it's common for people to say that he is a better character in Fates than he was in Awakening, and I definitely agree; I found him to be very one-note in Awakening due to where the focus was mostly put in the large majority of his supports, but in Fates his rough edges where smoothed out and made him feel more well-rounded overall and much more mature.
