Imagine now what Ryoma would be like if Fates used a 2-RNG system like Awakening and the GBA games. You might as well just roll the credits as soon as he joins you.
Geoffrey Pendergrass Fates uses a different system for hit rates than other games in the series. Hit rates are not actually equal to the displayed value most of the time. A system like the GBA games used would make Ryoma even harder to hit. He'd be that much closer to invincible
You all prolly dont give a shit but does anybody know of a way to get back into an instagram account..? I was dumb forgot my login password. I love any assistance you can offer me.
In Conquest my avatar character was my only trash unit, ironically enough. Why? I accidentally set the weakness to strength, and the reclass option I gave him at the start of the game was a sword class. I think this makes it that much more impressive that I beat conquest on that save, honestly.
Happen ta me on 2nd playthrough on Lunatic , me 1st time on Hard he Dead to 1 critical hit. Both on 1 on 1. Forgot how and what set up that critical hit kill him in 1 hit lol. Same happened to Xander, Iago and Hans lol , 1 shot from Lethality or Critical Hit.
You left out a major backstory of Ryoma, as children Ryoma was always jealous of Corrin's natural charisma and leadership, because all the other kids would follow Corrin around when playing. He was also present when Corrin was kidnapped, he fled the scene with fear, even though it's understandable for him to do so because he was only a kid, but ever since then he had felt guilt, that he felt that it was his jealously that made him leave Corrin behind to be kidnapped.
-Has a cool red armor -Has an unpunished 1-2 ranged weapon which is a freaking katana charged with lightning -Has access to one of the most op classes in game Yep, he's pretty broken as a first gen. -children are better than any parent though-
Pietro Marcer gotta say, I agree with mysterious swordsman. awakening was all about the kids and how broken you could make them. I mean, nah with donnel as father, passing down his aptitude, is pretty much the best unit in the game (but her paralogue is ridiculously difficult in exchange, easily one of the hardest missions in awakening) however, fates really is about how you can utilize the royals (plus a small handful of other units like kaze or mozu) best by giving them support fodder that best helps their stats. there are only a handful of children that are actually good enough to warrant replacing an adult unit, and most of these are the children of royals, so it all comes full circle
TheMike0088 I mean I agree with you if we are talking about conquest and birthright, if we are talking revelation, you just need the royal children and have Elise!Ophelia and Oboro!Takumi and ur good, my whole team except for mu and silas consists of only children.
Mangs the thumbnails are SOOOOOO good are you making them yourself? Really they have such a good quality next to the video itself. MAY THE LOBSTAR LORD PRAISE YOU!
Ryoma, because Fates actually has a somewhat challenging end-game. Seth would be broken if Fe8 was harder, but since every character in Fe8 can break Fe8, Seth doesn't really stand out as much.
Even without the Raijinto, Ryoma can still wreck house. He basically turns into Hana with more bulk, and his great base stats keep his lesser Speed and Strength compared to her at bay. 9:33 Sure, I'll click the link on the "Squeen". Also I would love to see Maribelle for the next one, although if we're only doing Fates characters I guess I'd say Rinkah. Then the flame wars shall begin.
I was heavily disappointed with many of the birthright characters both samurais you get in the beginning were pretty bad and the rest of the cast was mediocre un like conquest . But ryoma more then made up for them XD
Get out of jail free card since it's meant to be the beginner's FE. Worked for me. Played it a second time on hard using different units tho, was more interesting than just moving Ryoma to wherever I wanted enemies dead.
Tello 64 conquest no royals and gunter your first unit no skills no changing weapon and no class changing and no children .... Im on chapter 21 v: ( also if u want moar chalenge add nyx) Also if gunter dies rest or u lost the challenge g luck
Yeah I was surprised at how good this character is. First time player since Golden Sun and Ryoma is a monster. With just him, the avatar, and Sakura as my healer, I could wreck entire fields without even trying once he was obtained.
The katana bestows 4 extra strength, so in a sense it's a 15 might katana with ranged combat in a game where it's main largest competitors not only deal less damage, but also come with large restrictions or forging. The extra cherry on top is that it gives an extra 10 avoid on top of the swordmaster's 10 avoid and Ryoma's high speed and luck. It's better than Hagakure in all the important categories and you get this as soon as Ryoma enters the fucking picture. In a typical birthright run, keep Rinkah on guard stance with him. He can learn lancebreaker through the blacksmith class from her and gain extra defense and strength from both her pair up stats and Bushido being active. With all of these combined, Ryoma rids himself of his physical weakness, making his fairly large HP legitimately tanky. If you want to break 99% of the game however, what is recommended is to get the line of death skill from master of arms with replicate. The set up is riskier, but if you play it right, Ryoma is god on all phases, vantaging all the time, retaliating at all ranges safely, and killing 90% of enemies before they can even initiate an attack.
Ryoma is one of the main reasons I enjoy Reclassing Runs (i.e. runs where you're required to Heart Seal every character as soon as they join). He's not nearly as good as a Falcon/Kinshi knight so you can't just send him off to destroy everything and actually have to utilize the other characters.
When I hear the end, I can't help but think: Wait? You will go for MORE training? Why, being the most broken unit ever in Fire Emblem is not enough for you or something?
Actually, reclassing to a master of arms is a quite good thing to do. It gives him 10% more HP and Def growth. You could go back the swordmaster at higher level, but the master of arms gives him access to lances and axes. That means you could have him wield the guard naginata, or the great club. You might want to unequip life or death though, as it can easily get you killed.
Actually, it is explained why Saizo is Ryoma's retainer. It's because of his lineage. The first born son of his lineage bears the name "Saizo", and is to be the retainer of the high prince of Hoshido. Saizo is the 5th in his line of work. Sure, that isn't much of a backstory, but it is an explanation. Kagero on the other hand has no real explanation. But yeah, it's kind of dumb that, besides Saizo, only Azama and Sakura's origins are explained through supports of the Hoshidan retainers.
Please do Laslow/Inigo next! Or the rest of the awakening trio? They are A++ characters who have been through hell and deserve the best after their awful past
Ryoma is just ridiculous. Just cleared Revelation, and it was unreal as to how he only got touched about 10 times, and nearly soloed whole maps. Imagine if he had Swordfaire, and Trample. He need only so much as sneeze whole enemy squads away.
lets not forget how good Ike, Robin, Hector, and Zelgius are.. i know zelgius is only an enemy but he still counts since you are saying in all of fire emblem. also ninjas can shit on ryoma really easily too if they land their attacks. But yes he is very good for fates
When my fort was being attacked I placed a healing tile at the bottom of the fort. Then put Ryoma into the healing tile at the bottom and move everyone else to the other two entry ways. He flat lined everything that attacked him, and dodged everything the invaders threw at him.
im testing ryoma as a master ninja and it has been working soo far lethality trigers a lot and the rajinto helps with his strenght I also got death bolw from a castle and using it with the killer shuriken gives him a 78% crit
The thing about Astra on Ryoma is that he will almost always kill the enemy before all five hits of Astra, meaning that the full shield gauge he can possibly get is simply just that; a possibility. It's still great though, don't misunderstand.
Yeah, I know, I always felt like if anything Ikona should've died shortly after Hinoka's birth and Mikoto should've been the actual mother of Takumi and Sakura, which would help with the timeline issues for them.
I have to object on the reclassing thing, Ryoma can obtain Amaterasu as a Kinshi Knight to heal his supporting ally. It works even if he's a support unit.
Who cares about high avo this is Fates that we're talking about. Accuracy doesn't matter in Fates. The only accuracy that matter are 0% and 100%. Anything between that can be either hit or miss. In Awakening it's very rare to miss a 80% and up hit and to hit 40% and down. In Fates? Missing a 90% chance is a daily routine. I'll tell you my story. An enemy hit my avatar with just 8% HIT!! EIGHT PERCENT!!!
Chrom once died because he got crit by some Berserker with a 3% chance to hit and a 20-some odd% chance to crit. To this day, I look upon that occasion with fear, disdain, and sorrow.
One of my favorite crit masters in Birthright. Thank you for this one Mangs. this video is like a birthday present to me (today is my birthday after all hence why I said that)
I should use Ryoma more often, I use Shiro a lot and thanks to the traits he has resulting in a broken amount of strength and has awesome weapons that works with that well.
Hmmmmm.......For the next video I'd like to see another Hoshidan royal, like Hinoka or Sakura. I'm leaning more towards Sakura because I was surprised to see a healer with a 35% strength growth rate. This made her destroy any flying units that came my way with a forged yumi.
Shame its small one for Backstory... although the Hoshidian royals don't have many birth controversies, unlike their Nohrian counterparts, plus it is late game for getting him... Still Ryoma is a beast!
I think ryoma is broken because he is supposed to be used on the easier path of the game, and xander is more balanced because he is supposed to be used on conquest with is the hardest path
I made a Ryoma with Renewal, Swordfaire, Aegis, Astra and Vantage, and holy shit is that thing broken lol, by the end of the game he had 50hp meaning renewal was just healing him for 15 at every start of turn without even a healer.
If you're willing to sacrifice the hero's brand for the purpose, you can have Ryoma stop by Lodestar to grab Charm and/or Speedtaker, in order to add to his already ridiculous AVO.
It's hard for me to believe that the guy who's known for saying "FOR HOSHIDO" all the time is the same guy who's known for saying "ITS HIGH NOON" all the time.
Marty from Thracia is the one you should do, though I'm not sure if you have enough skill or speed to pull that off. Or if you just do Fates stuff from now on, then Shura('s boots)
Alright... i watched the video... i guess i should suggest somebody! Well... since this seems to be a fates-athon (sorry CrashX500) i'll suggest... either Hana or Jakob.
I'm not a fan of any of the Royals in this game except for Leo and Takumi. I love your spotlight videos so much and I would love if you did a video on Owain from Awakening I would be very grateful. I know that he's dumb and cheesy but I just can't not love him. Something I've noticed is that he is much more 2 dimensional in Fates than Awakening. He really feels like he learned since Awakening. Anyways thanks for reading this, and I hope you consider my request.
Hoshido cast in a nutshell: use the ninjas and royals, everything else is okay at best if youve been lucky while training them upNohr cast in a nutshell: use whatever you like they are all borderline terrible and great depending on how lucky you get...except nyx...seriously i never had a single conquest run where nyx didnt turn out crappy...theres a reason why she avoids fighting mates..
"so don't get overconfident just because you see their hit rates being stupidly low on player phase" (laughs) Ok Mangs you keep telling yourself that. *proceeds to send Ryoma into a barrage of red units and comes back cover in their blood.*
to get lancebreaker which is really to much work (I have it) you must get him the blacksmith class meaning marry rinka in one play through (like I did) or A-rank Corrin with his second class being an oni savage reclass reach lv.15 then lancebreaker
I literally gave up on one chapter after my Corrin died (on Casual mode don't kill me!) So I just let all my units start dying and *Ryoma didn't die. He killed 10 people and one was Camilla.*
