goodperson656 That and it is build for the turnbased combat- they are much more intelligent there. But Skyrim- once a guy opened a closet I was hiding in while looking for me, stood there and stared at me for several seconds, then just turned around and said "he must've ran off" and closed the door.
So here's another story. After watching this video, I wanted to go find a Vestal myself. I go to the Duma Tower, Duma Temple, and the Lost Treescape. In the Lost Treescape, I start cutting down a bit of grass for a couple of Silver Marks, but then I found out you can get Gold Marks in that area. I completely drop my hunt for a Vestal and just focus on getting more Gold Marks. A Vestal then flies by. It honestly startled me.
Congrats. You just won the 1/256 chance or something. I wouldn't recommend hunting for more Gold Marks there unless you have waaaay too much spare time. (I never found one in my playthroughs without hacking.)

(If you're wondering what I'm talking about) In SMT 4 Fiends super secret spooky skeleton boss that only have a rare chance of spawning. Problem is once you find them unlike Valentina the game tells you *I'm detecting a very dangerous demon close by* ... Then the player gets rekt...

I love how the Vestal map sprite and model have Rinea's bangs. Somehow I don't think they were meant to be generic enemies at first. Might explain their odd behavior.
LittleMisZorua Likely last minute inclusion or she was meant to be taken out but the devs forgot. Her AI seems wonky enough to where I think it's safe to say she wasn't fully programmed.
I once ran into a Dracul at the Thieves' Shrine towards the beginning of the game. It and its zombie friends were brutal against an underleveled Alm army.
I ran into a Titan when returning to the Deliverance hideout for the subquest from the Hermit in the throne room. It threw me off because I thought IT was the enemy group to defeat for the quest.
The sad thing is if you want certain divine weapons without having to go deep in Thabes, it can require soft resetting after finding one of these enemies until you get the item drop. Astra is the lowest chance with a 1/2000 drop. That sounds like shiny hunting if I've ever heard of it.
@@JR384 -call yourself pokemontrainer77 and miss the shiny rate?- It's 1/4096. But Pokémon also provides variety of ways to increase the odds, and easy resetting via breeding and stuff. Here resetting is quite hard too.
I met a Garuda right after getting Silque (I went back to the shrine to do the mission for Ram Village's old man) and had no clue about the whole rare monster deal. Needless to say I got destroyed and had to reset :c

The first time I saw some of these minibosses in game I freaked out. Also, at 5:15 I thought that this boss was just another generic Terror, until I looked closer at his character design.. He looks.. very familiar to me.. He kind of reminds me of.. Link..
This is off topic... but am I the only one who likes forging weapons and inscribing names of other FE weapons on them? For example, fully forged blessed swords have a fire effect when they hit. So, I named one Durandal. (Leave the Binding Blade to Roy) Also, I forged a Brave Sword and called it Sol Katti. It definitely has a crit to match... Hell, I forged a Silver Sword and called it Audhulma! So... yeah. Am I the only one?
I decided to call my Ladyblade Sieglinde. The Beloved Zofia's already sort of a legendary weapon, and I don't wanna mess with that. I did, however, call my Royal Sword Ragnell because the Falchion can replace it.
While level grinding in the Thieve's Shrine right at the beginning, I encountered the Garuda and got my ass kicked. Safe to say I never went back there to grind! lol
Whenever I got an Ilwoon in any of my playthroughs I'd rename it "Titanslayer" so the first time I met a Titan I was like "Yes! Now this weapon can finally live up to its name!"
My first time seeing a vestal who wasn't Rinea was in the final dungeon. I saw it and was like WAIT WHAT?! (Then in my haste run away I ran face first into her lol)
I ran into a guardian in the dragon shrine (I think) and started freaking out because it was so overpowered compared to the normal terrors you find there
Wow. I found found some of these enemies by accident and assumed they were just assigned to side quest by village people. I found that boss in the Deliverance Hideout and the gargoyle in the Thieve's Shrine. If I recall, I might have even saw the glowing eyeball monster in Duma Tower too. But I ran away from that guy because I was rushing towards the final fight and didn't want anything to do with the monsters.
You missed one, in the beginning dungeon. There is a slight possibility of encountering a terror, but it's a giant. You can encounter these later on through the game, but their smaller like the Dracul.
FOR FUCK'S SAKE! The flame witch Vestal is a priestess to the goddess of the Hearth, Vesta. A hearth is another term for a Fireplace! GOD THAT'S TERRIBLE! Also, they were the goddess herself in Gaiden.
I never met most of these creatures until I made it to the bottom of Thabes Labyrinth. I saw the Vestal for the first time down there, during the fight against "The Creation." When she spawned, I thought that I was up against a reanimated Witch Rinea (which would have made perfect sense, if you know who "The Creation" actually is.) It threw me off really bad.
HeadhunterTelesto actually so did I. And i found it even more believable cuz after putting the game down for a few months i didnt even remember rinea's name lol.
Weirdly enough I grinded my characters to hell and never saw one. The first time I met a rare enemy was in my second playthrough. Does someone know if they spawn when you go into Mila's Shrine and back into the dungeon or only if you actually leave the dungeon and re-enter?
Yes, they do spawn. Can 100% confirm it. I just went into the mila shrine in sylvan shrine then went back out and a Dracul spawned in the center area between all the cells.
love that game, and i played through it fully and then got like two lives mastered, and was working on my third, and then my sd card screwed up, and i lost all my data. i haven't played through it since, but it was really fun, despite the need for the sd card.
Hey I just met Titan today, funny thing I wasn't even looking for him but just went to the Deliverance Hideout for a sidequest and all off the sudden yellow weird enemy spotted not missing the chance, gotta admit while killing him wasn't that hard he was sorta dangerous, could have killed most of my units
I encountered a revenant when I first began (Not really but like after going into the thieve's hideout multiple times to grind before moving on.) and got everyone killed. Lmao.
I encountered one of them at the Sylvian shrine I mostly had over leveled unprompted units but luckily I managed to do the battle thanks to stealing the Draco sheild earlier on in my play through
From what I understand, it's a flat 10% chance for any to spawn after you've triggered a flag. I don't know what triggers the flag (it could be after re-entering a dungeon N times or something else entirely). If there are multiple rare monsters in the same zone, they share the 10%. Eg. the Garuda and Dracul in the Thieves' Shrine are 7% and 3% respectively.
maybe its just because of the turnwheel, but it doesn't feel as hard as conquest did. I had more difficulty getting through that game on normal than I am echoes on hard. That's not to say that fates is a better game(s?), the gameplay and difficulty was conquests one redeeming feature.
