Daniel Paul Silver Snow is basically Verdant Wind 2.0. Verdant Wind was nice but Azure Moon and Crimson Flower had the most interesting plots imo, especially when they were both so dynamically different.

Nebby to me, Crimson Flower is the weakest by process of elimination. Golden Deer is the best! CF is kind of left a bit dull with it cutting off at the end. I get why, but even still...

@@joegreen3802 I kind of understand. even though I'm still not finished with CF, I know by the number of chapters that we won't get to Shambala... even though adding that chapter or even Nemesis+TWSITD (this time in a final battle at the monastery for example) would make sense in CF. Getting rid of TWSITD was supposed to be part of the Empire's plans and imagine Edelgard's reaction when she realise that the legend about the King of Liberation was *once again* another story made up by Seiros (but not the way she imagined it).

Their life got miserable because of crests, Mercie's another reason is that she knew that Death Knight = Emile/Jeritza and family is also important to her. Based on Manuela's saying about DK giving a heartfelt apology, Mercie may have some influence to it.

They certainly wouldn't take it well that the church you followed your whole life is a corrupt entity manipulating history.

The way I see it, Marianne had never been able to stand for things in her life or have a strong motive. Then Edelgard shows up, full of confidence, ready to start a war because of her ideals. That's logical Mariane admires her : Edelgard is everything she is not but wish to be.

That too ^ the crests ruined Sylvain's relationship with Miklan and eventually his envy got him killed, in some cases by his brother's hand Raphael could be another cause he acts like it doesn't bother him, but his parents were killed as part of the dispute between House Gloucester and Riegan

I'd add Marianne to that list. Margrave Edmund was one of the Imperial supporting houses, and in CF he even sends Marianne to fight alongside Edelgard. It's quite funny, but Golden Deer is the house that meshes into CF the best, seeing how half of them belong to families friendly to the Empire and the other half couldn't care less about the Alliance.

Yeah; I recruited Ashe in my Crimson Flower playthrough out of sympathy, not knowing what was going to happen, and I was so disappointed that he doesn't get answers in the Crimson Flower route. I even had him fight the different Church-related bosses, hoping he might have a unique battle conversation where he demands answers.

@@randeli7785 And it's because of this that I feel he'd fit in with the Black Eagles because it seems in character that he'd learn the truth (probably from Edelgard and/or Hubert during the 5 years Byleth's asleep) and feel it falls to him to finish what his family started. But that's just me.

I'm also on my first ever playthrough of FE3H myself and I also chose to side with Edelgard, mainly because I felt Rhea was just being selfish with her goals and the fact I just couldn't abandon Edelgard after what I had been through with her. I also managed to recruit all the recruitable students, faculty, and former Knights of Seiros to the Black Eagles. I'm glad not as many named characters are going to get hurt and killed in the war.

It's no secret CF was the last route the devs worked on and so had the least time put into it. Originally it didn't exist at all and when it did they were going to make it harder to access than it is in the final game before easing up a bit. Ultimately it's the most different of the four routes for better and for worse.

While I agree with most, I can't say that Leonie joining Empire is all that logical. We cannot forget that those allied with the Empire are a direct cause to Jeralt's death. When we fight her in CF route she even says something along the lines "Traitor! how could you ally with those who killed Jeralt"

But you were not forced to kill them! I avoid them and spare their lives. Blue Lions are not so lucky...

I did it in my first playthrough. Lots of returning missing items, gifting people and mission assistance support building, but I recruited everyone by the last day And that was after figuring out that mechanic. It took me about 6 chapters to realize supports would trump my weapon masteries/stats. So long as I had at least a D in the skill the student wanted

Most likely NG+ and I'd guess a 5th playthrough. At least that's how I did it. Since I had A supports with everyone and a lot of renown, just get everyone to rank b and they start flooding in as the weeks to by.

Either spend your renown on support or raise one of your stats and a certain character will come Asking to join your house For example I raised my bow and strength And after that bernadetta joined my Team

Recruiting everyone is easy just share lots of meals, give them their favourite gifts and achieve B support, with the exception of Ferdinand and Caspar who you need to raise their proficiencies. It’s really not that difficult.

It is possible on a blank run, and even easier if you're playing on Maddening as Female Byleth. Playing as Black Eagles means no B-supports locked behind a time skip, so recruiting through that gets easier overall. C-rank in Lances is a natural tie-in for using Mounted classes. Faith will likely be something you learn while looking into Budding Talents. Hilda being unrecruitable on Crimson Flower means you don't have to waste time on Axes unless you're going for Death Blow. Lorenz and Raphael can be recruited thorough B-supports since their required skills are suboptimal. The rest is just fighting enemies in a forest with rusted/broken weapons and a Knowledge Gem equipped. If playing on Maddening, this gets easier since Priests have Renewal. Personally, I recommend learning Lances first because of Tempest Lance and the weapon class' natural evolution towards Mounted classes. If you're doing it right, Sword and Faith will be the only skills that require an honest effort. The rest is just skill grinding, adjutants literal fishing for level ups to your Professor Level.

The reason she never goes full Evil Emperor in Crimson Flower (much like how Dmitri turns back to sanity in Azure Moon) is that Byleth acts as a moderating influence. In addition, because she has Byleth, she doesn't feel the need to lean so much on the aid of Those Who Slither in the Dark, who are very much a terrible influence on her.

If recruited, Lysithea becomes lord equivalent for the mission as emotional leverage, yelling at Edelgard about abandoning the cause for bloodlust or vengeance
