Fire Forces Victims Out Window & Fire Escapes 

that woman is very lucky... she stayed calm bless all first responders and locals that jumped into action to look after their neighbors

I’m the guy with a green shirt Because I see some comments here talking shit . I’m the one who called them and it took 17 mins to get here my friend . I’m the one who went inside 3 time bringing people out before even the firefighters and police arrived . That’s the truth don’t judge when u dont know . This video (9:20am)is showing the front of the billding ,what about the back were the fire took place . When me and Lorenzo was dealing with the fire downstairs from in the back of the building ,all these people had no clue what is going yet . If they check the Building cameras they will see what exactly went down. Me and Lorenzo took the fire extinguisher and actually tried to control the fire . The apartment that was burning 9:03 am . So I’m not trying to be a hero here but this is the truth . When we saw that it was no way to control the fire ,you should ask the tenants that live in the building ,who’s voice they Heard screaming out side the from the back of the billding , everybody out out. No disrespect For the firefighters. It’s a very tough job . I experienced it Monday myself but they were late. That’s the truth. What I can’t understand is when I called 911 I was in a rush because my mind was to go inside and help, they told me wait one second I have to transfer you to the fire department then here we go I had to stay on the line to talk to the fire department after I gave them the address they were asking me questions what is the front of the building blla blla blla then I hung up on them . And you know what the first thing I did when everybody was coming outside I went inside . The whole process of calling 911 should’ve be shorter that’s alll Because I do strongly believe that the person who takes the call about the emergency should just ask what’s the address and that’s it and pass the message. Good footage by the way ✊ .

Just another example of new York citys finest and bravest at work. This includes fire- police-ems- workers and bravest citizens who get involved at a time of life and death. And you know what. No one pays to see them play. And had anyone ever ask them for there autograph. remember folks there next call could be there last.

Some good footage. Amazing how you have so many different takes on what happened. Thank goodness for the video footage to be able to make some sense of it. Guy with the ski cap on who took the video of the woman hanging out the window seemed to be a little more accurate in assessing the situation as opposed to the guy with the green hoodie. I was curious as to why it seemed that once some of the people were out on fire escape, it looked as if they were hanging out instead of climbing down to the ground. My sorry ass would have been climbing down that thing as fast as I could.

I watch a lot of fire videos apartment buildings houses on RU-vid why isn't it when people smell smoke they don't go out to see where the smoke is coming from why is it they don't get out of the building they want to be rescued like that get out of your apartment or your house if you're unable the neighbor should go and see if there's anyone in the house especially animals if no one's home what is wrong with this country

And when you see someone hanging out a window of apartment buildings or two-story house all you people that are standing around watching want to save somebody when these fire trucks show up run over there get the ladder out and hurry up and get these people out there's needs to be more fire escapes stairways on the outside of these buildings I don't care how high they are because when them firemen get out of their truck and they get all their gear on and they put that tank on their back that's a lot of weight have you ever seen them pull a ladder or the hoses off the truck people that are standing around need to help out until they tell you that's enough it doesn't matter by their rules of civilians not helping them I'm sure if their house was on fire they would like you to help

@ 2:34... that's dangerous ladder placement and a dangerous transition for the victim... ladder tip should have been raised 5 or 6 rungs above the window sill and placed to the side of the window... also keep the ladder out of reach of victims till the last second of placing the ladder.. FRANTIC victims will reach for that ladder wildly and desperately... if they miss the ladder or stretch out too far, it's "express elevator down" time... not good
