I rarely think a rapper is talented because basically anyone can do it if they spent a little bit of time writing the lyrics. No one in the world can do what this guy can do. This is raw talent.

@@andrewwright. it's not just tone, it's the slang, the vibes and the fact that most Americans only Rap. Mc-ing isn't about rapping that's why the yanks get upset about how popular grime and dnb etc are. Listen to any Yank freestyle and they go straight into a rap style. But we have artists like Traumatik and Shotta who are versatile on the mic.
The most impressive thing about Shotta is his clarity - he doesn't just start chatting a load of shit + he's a double time MC. That's why he's so highly rated. He may be the best "lyrical" MC in DnB; can't really argue with that apart from maybe Evil, but there are others that are better. What about fucking Shabba and Skibba? The duo that EVERYONE aspires to be like in their prime? I don't care what anyone says - EVERY up and coming MC aspires to be somewhat like them; they were the originals, the dons, the dans. What true DnB head doesn't even remember SAS? Wow... I remember way back when everyone in the venue would be dressed like Shabba, same Moschino offkeys.
Skibba and Evil yes, the rest no. Eks is fucking shit now. But yeah, this is his best yet. Absolutely crazy how good he's got. I guarantee next year he will be better too.

I've been following Shotta before he was even well known (about 5 years ago). First I ever heard of him was on some random video with Fun where he just killed it. Then Dubzone etc. From then on I was hooked. Still to this day, one of the best MCs out there. You can hear a bit of Skibba in him too, like his flow is similar to Skibba. Of course they are friends, so it makes sense. That chat he does over Chopper, my god...
