@@peterrradizeski2176 I'm 53. This song came out when I was about 10. But I love the music that came out either when I was too young to enjoy or understand it or that came out before my time. A 100 times more than what passes for music these days.

He also wrote songs that appealed to blue collar workers.

You could be up on stage singing with them --then maybe the concert people would not enjoy it but it still would be fun

I grew up in Michigan where Seger was also from about 5yrs older than me and my dad would take me and my friends to mt. Holly, to Snow ❄️ 🎿 ski on the weekends and we'd go in the bar afterwards and get hot dogs and root beer floats (dad got Budweiser,) and we'd listen to segers first band called Terry Knight and the pack from 15 feet away, not joking and I will never for get, well he's now gone,,,,, well. When my son turned 15 and we were in garage cleaning and fire lake came on radio (F. Lake is in upper peninsula) an my son for no reason at all said who's this guy good voice. Tears started rolling down my cheeks, what's wrong dad the I went in the refrigerator grabbed two Budweisers handed him his first 🍻, well now he knows how many lives Seger has touched. Hey 😊 very much appreciate your comment it reminded me where I came from Michigan. Reply any time 🙂

I used to, but now he's allowed them to be so commercial they are watered down and mostly ruined for me. Not the "sell out" factor, but it just makes me cringe when I hear some of his best works used like that when clearly he never needed it. There are better ways to use songs than the way he ended up using them. This would be an exception, as is Hollywood nights, main street, but it's disappointing at minimum.
