Thanks! Yeah it was my first panel. I gave it to my friend and ended up wanting it back. Unfortunately he moved to Edmonton (I live in Calgary) so I had to drive three hours to get it back. All is good now tho haha
Well the one thing Fire-Lite did do right was make it easy for new enthusiasts or aspiring electricians to learn basic fire alarm system stuff. Plus, Fire-lite stuff does trip and reset fast. But fire lite stuff isn’t very reliable, really cheap, and their systems just break (sometimes out of nowhere).
Yeah, true. They're so simple to learn. They just can't do very much. I do agree that they're super cheaply made. However, I've had far more issues with Simplex and EST than I've had with Fire-Lite. Just this week, I was inspecting a brand new high-rise hotel, and the system (7 node Simplex 4100ES network) had upwards of 30 deficiencies.
