G'day Mark, pretty much the all rounder pot I'd say. What I really like is the peaked/angled bail handle and the "spout sieve". Sure a parabolic handle and a drainage holed lid is fine, but those extra details are a winner IMO. Cheers Duke.
Thanks for another great overview, Mark. I agree this pot has great features and it's a very practical size. It would be nice if Fire Maple offered a stainless steel or aluminum version as a more affordable option.
They do have a 900ml aluminum pot called the FROST that is similar but not with all the same features. They also have the Antarcti bush pot, again similar with a few differences, Thanks for commenting
Id come to a similar conclusion, have a litre and a half titanium pot for when im out for a few days. The larger volume of the 1.5 litre is just about right for most tasks and you have room to spare without it being filled to the top where it's more likely to spill. The titanium means the added size is fine weight in the pack wise.
Hey Mark, Great Review. One thing I would love to see is a quick video just showing the Alti 900 ml beside the Antarcti 1.2L. These are two amazing options. I am wondering just how much bigger the 1.2l is over the .9l. A visual is better then trying to compare specs on paper and no one has done it yet as far as I can tell. Thanks in advance if you can.
Compared to my Toaks 1100 ml pot it looks quite deep. Mine has diameter of about 115 mm. I think the diameter is smaller. Those outer dimensions with bail or lid really are less important than the bottom ones. Inner or outer when it is titanium. Could that be a 95mm pot?
